View Full Version : SourcePoint Radio - The Station that almost wasn't. :)

The other day, I shut down my new station because it seemed too much in the grand scheme of all I currently have to do. But I later came to my senses and set it up once more and it's on in full effect! I decided not to keep the station up for playing indie & unsigned artists. I've met and come across some amazing indie music and wanted to provide a way for my blog readers to find new music.

Check it out if you get a chance. :)

I (http://www.threewestcreative.com/now-playing/)t's integrated into my creative development website. Cheers! Thanks for checking it out.

If you are in need for "new" music ...
There is one place to be
Check Airplaydirect (http://www.airplaydirect.com) (click on the link) and subscribe as "station" to their services
That way you have access to LOTs of new songs of both signed and unsigned projects
You'll find almost every genre (lets say from jazz untill PopRock and Rock)
At the time you sign in be sure to add a link to your project (website etc) and a valid email (where they can reach you - both APD and artists)
APD sends every 2 weeks a kind of newsletter with new releases

Check also the web for "Deuce Entertainment" ... They collab with APD and they produce a weekly 2 hours radioset with music from APD

Airplaydirect is based at the US
Deuce is based at the UK

Fantastic. Thanks! Do you know how they deal with licensing? I've read their website from top to bottom and I don't see anything about licensing. :)

90 to 95% of the artists are unsigned or/and indie artists/projects
but you'll find also the new album of Dolly Parton and the first release of songs made by the Son of Paul McCartney
All tracks are available for airplay (the site name is "airplay"-direct) and can be downloaded in .wav or mp3 file (320kbps)
So I don't think you gonna have an issue with the "airplay"

Interesting to know :
The CEO of APD = Robert Weingartz
The CEO of Deuce = Rob Saunders

After you signed in you can contact them at their account

PS : see your PM at BW

Do you know how they deal with licensing?
The broadcaster is responsible for licensing. They do NOT provide it.
