I have a question about audio skipping in and out while watching videos on You Tube or listening to clips on Sound Cloud. With you-tube, I've noticed it's usually when a HTML5 player is playing the video, that I have the problem. When it's a flash player it works fine. I'm not sure what is used on Sound Cloud, but they all skip in and out when I try listening to them. I've tried to listen to a few that Brutish Sailor (http://forums.broadcastingworld.net/member.php?10399-Brutish-Sailor) posted on the cloud and they skip so bad that I might hear 10 seconds of a 1 minute clip. I usually hear a light "pop", just before the sound goes out.
I have a Steinberg CI 1 interface with yamaha studio monitors plugged into it, that is then hooked into my computer via USB port. I use the ASIO driver for the Steinberg, it causes less problems than the Yamaha driver supplied with unit!

If I copy and paste a You Tube video address into Real player and open it up, it will play fine, but, not when I try to watch it on You Tube. Any ideas how I could resolve this problem?

Have you tried using different browsers?

Sounds like a drivers/interface issue.

1) what is your processing/ram/ on your comp (and for giggles, ruling out hardware conflicts) what video card.

2) What browser are you using. Also check to make sure its updated.

I guess I should have tried a few more browsers! I mainly use SRWare Iron, and also downloaded and tried Comodo Dragon, both with the same problems. Both are cloned off of the Chrome platform. So, I decided to open IE and it worked just fine. Since I hate IE so much, looks like I will be trying a couple of new browsers to find one that works. Look out Firefox, here I come! Had trouble with Firefox several years ago, when I used it and ended up with a ton of viruses on my computer. Every time I opened it up it would start downloading all kinds of crap and more viruses. I had to delete it off my system and haven't went back. I would hope they have all this fixed by now!

Anyways, thanks guys, simple fix!

Just installed Firefox and it didn't work either. So I installed Opera and it worked. Not the greatest browser, but it works the way it's supposed to.

None of the browsers have problems playing if the video is playing on a flash player, it's just the videos that are using html5 players on youtube that does this, and for some reason the soundcloud files. When you post files on soundcloud, the only way i can listen to them is to download and play on one of my computer players, Quick Time, VLC, or Winamp. Here is a quick raw recording of what it does.
