I have noticed that the Radionomy' stations are now listed on shoutcast.com ; Radionomy has bought shoutcast 2 months ago so now we know that the 1rst reason of this purchase is to put their stations on this site ! All their stations are icecast type, so I'd like to know how they can transform icecast slots in shoutcast ! I don't know if they want to put some of shoutcast stations on their Radionomy site? They can ask ! Wait and see...

I think it's great that the stations that are on Radionomy are now on the SC listings.

I've discovered a couple of stations this past few days that I wouldn't have known about as I don't go anywhere near the Radionomy site.

This obviously means Radionomy are serious with Shoutcast to now include those stations that weren't previously listed, It's great to see some things change.

Lets face it AOL couldn't have cared less about shoutcast as a brand!

Gary is right, AOL milked winamp - shoutcast for all the money it could - then spat it out. Radionomy has definite plans and wants to improve the software and services provided :)

Im hoping they strip some of the crap out of Winamp so it loads faster.

I loved using Winamp for a long time - the plugins - the skins - the features - then after ver 5 - it all went down hill.

And yes - they need to really concentrate on cleaning up Winamp now and making it great again !

Two important dates have been given : a new shoutcast website for june 2014 and a new winamp version (more "webradio" centralized) for december ! :)

That is certainly interesting news! If it's December until a new version of Winamp then so be it. i'm guessing they had a lot of AOL crap to hunt down and get rid of.

I know from a conversation I've been having with a Moderator on the winamp forums that they want to try and push everyone onto Shoutcast v2. I feel that is a battle that's going to be lost before they start there are far to many instances of shoutcast V 1.9.8 out there in the wild.

I just wish they would make the SC2 install process a lot more simpler, I've been trying on and off to get a SC2 server running and I keep coming up against a brick wall everytime. It's just too complicated.

I tried Shoutcast 2 as well and gave up, so Im sticking with the old one. Not to sound like Im moaning, but I dont like the new popup player now on the shoutcast radio page. The old one was a lot smaller and showed the current playing track as well.
