Hi James,

Improvement is great ... !
but please don't change a winning team / concept ...
The past 2 Years BW got already many changes and updates ... and I suppose members to BW since the launch of the forum sometimes have to checkout how things work

It ain't a problem to Me to find topics, chapters etc, afterall I visit BW almost daily (with or without making a reply)
But I'm sure many older broadcasters do have some issues, for reaosn that they don't visit frequently the forum
Keep BW as it is for a while ... I suppose that it can be a good advice

News and forums are good - but you should also include things that regular people can interact with as well.

Do something to attract non broadcasters - have a antique radio dial that anyone can sign up to use and "program" with their favourite stations.

I'll be sure to keep the forums the same. Unless anyone has any suggestions? Do you like splitting up the forums in to subsections (eg. Icecast, SHOUTcast etc..?)

I have been trying to get this to work, I have a mockup created but it only works under strict html5 and javascript. I cannot deploy it since 89% of our traffic does not support html5. :(

Thanks James,

Honestly before You split anything I would suggest You to "wait and see" what happens with RadioNomy into the near future
so far my 2 cents ...

Add to the tab "Music Streaming Services" TuneIn
Its one of the best platforms for audiostreams ... and since a while they have a complete new lay-out and provide new share tools
Important is = TuneIn has an awesome app who can be used at all available mobile devices

A quick note from Brutish Sailor - he is in the middle east and says that broadcastingworld.com is blocked - some how that url or maybe the ip address got banned because it was linked to a porn site.

http://www.anonymous.com.bh/

You might want to contact http://www.unblock.gov.bh/ and explain to them that the site is no longer connected with porn.

Saint, I have done something about your suggestion that will be public within the next few months :)

Hi James,

I suppose there appears an error into the "station page" section > edit your station
The left tabs don't work ... and the content of the page to edit is not visible

From a contact of mine I heard that He was not able to update his profile
He is new to the forum and is willing to add an avatar etc ...

James, did you ever work on getting the site unblocked in the middle east ?

Also, the forum response time is extremely slow on my end. It's sometimes like being on dial up - but - its not my Internet connection - im broadband cable.

Submitted approval, never heard anything back :(

I have checked the status of the server, uptime is strong and response time is ideal. Could be something to do with your ISP's routing (beyond your control), hope it gets fixed soon!

(1) Focus a bit on talk radio and talk radio stations/networks. (We have different needs) blogtalk radio, the leader is a clunker and there are plenty of people that want to learn how to broadcast better.

(2) Think about adding a "Internet radio multi-casting" category to the forums. Sending one signal out to multiple sources, eg one show goes to Livestream, ustream, youtube, google, soundcloud, and all other sources. Why limit ones self to one delivery platform if you can go everywhere. I am working this way but I am limited by money and experience.

(3) List all known broadcast platforms somehow, ustream, soundcloud, Itoons and whatever, rate the by allowing comments.

I am working on these tasks and would like to have other input.

Thanks for the "We miss you email" I lost the bookmark to the site and I was learning a lot.
