Why only for 28 days....is this a pirate by chance?

I suspect it is on an RSL license. Not a pirate!

It is indeed an RSL, we're waiting patiently for the next round of community licences to be announced.

Hi BS
Info here http://www.ofcom.org.uk/radio/ifi/rbl/rsls/
Usually on for a max of 28 days, on a small choice of freq: you need some good sponsors to cover the license costs.

Restricted service license. Issued by the Radio Authority in the UK for either test transmissions, temporary broadcasts or trial broadcasts.

I worked on many RSL's over the years. Some were never heard of again, whilst others went on to be huge.

You know, that's pretty cool there Neilad. The FCC does the same thing over here with temporary and trial licensed stations, some though are to never be heard of again.

But cross your fingers folks, I've sent in a request to get a loan from a bank in which I can build a terrestrial station. If things go well and I'm approved, I could be on the air in less than 6 months
