Hello everyone,

I've been thinking ... Yes friends .. I can :) LOL

Lately BW receives some fakers with posts who are always beginning with :

Hi, This is my first post to the forum ... blablabla ...
- Could it be a nice idea to simply ignore these posters ?
- Could it be a good idea to add a "spam flag" button on top of a thread / topic to report at once these kind of posters ?
This "spam flag" don't has the function to close that specific reported thread at once .. but it can be a warning to other members to ignore that post

Afterwoulds admins can decide to delete that kind of posts at once or they can decide to leave it open and to delete the spam flag notification.

The closing of a thread is the right job .. but to many "closed threads" don't look good at a forum .. for that reason I suggest to delete them if neccesary ...

Currently it looks that several fellow members are making themself angry because of this .. and in fact this ain't needed because most of those fakers are bots

I hope this explanation of my point of view is usefull to both fellow members and the admins.

Feel free to use the POLL on top of this

Simply put, i am training staff at the moment to pick up these type of spammers and simply delete them. All these spammers are simple to pick up as you mentioned GKR, these spammers are real people but do NOT get offended by what they say, even then, dont even say anything to them. Just report the thread and ignore it :)

Is there any way to track the IP Addresses of where these posters post from, and possibly "blanket block" them that way?

Or, perhaps "review and confirm" any new members who wish to join these forums, give them a selection of questions about their purpose for visiting the forums, and maybe a question about a particular part of the industry... so if they answer it correctly, we know that they're genuine?

I can't remember what happened when I signed up, it was so long ago!
