  1. Has someone figured out how to add a music bot to Discord that streams music from a Icecast server?
  2. I have a crazy setup here on my linux-server running Icecast with AzuraCast. Since i allready have another server with apache, hosting lots of websites on port 80, i don't know how to configure Icecast. As it is right now, i can reach the server with the radio on another port 8086, but when i begin to stream, yet another port is added to the url (8000). (Thats why i can't even be listed on the Icecast YP, because of my strange url with two ports.) This is the link to my small webradio: http://bananradion.bananklubben.se:8086/radio/8000/index.html Any suggestions on how i can fix this, and be listed on Icecast YP? I only have one ip and i can't risk install icecast on my server with all the websites.
  3. Hi, I've searched all over the web, but i can't find a working php code that displays the current song and the number of listeners of a icecast stream. Is there still a working example? en would anyone share it with me? I think the easiest way is through the status2.xsl cause the icecast has two mount points. Thanks.
  4. Noticed there's been an update for Altacast plugin for RadioDJ http://altacast.com/ v2.5.5 was released today. It's been tested on Windows10 and is working and showing up in the program this time. You can find the basic instructions on how to install it alongside RadioDJ Here Please note: Altacast for RadioDJ is a 3rd party plugin it is NOT written by me or the author of RadioDJ. it is a totally separate program. Software is supplied as seen. We cannot be held responsible if Altacast crashes or doesn’t work on your your system. If you should run into any problems then you can try asking a question about Altacast on the RadioDJ forums.
  5. Hi, Recently I posted about me being visually impaired and looking for an accessible service to run an internet radio station. Recently I came across the plans at http://www.shoutca.st/ and the prices are great! The problem though is it uses Centova Cast, which relies on drag and drop. This doesn't work properly with my screen reading software. Does anyone know of any plans that can match these prices or similar to these prices, but uses a different control panel to Centova Cast? Don't worry about it being accessible or not, I'll test that myself, just every service I've looked at is either too expensive just for a station to run as a hobby, or it uses Centova Cast, which I can't use. Thanks for any help

  10. I have a few broadcasters that I work with who would like to use Android phones (specifically Galaxy S4s) as their entire broadcasting platform for live events. In specific, sporting events. The broadcasting setup right now is usually to have two microphones (one for ambient sound aimed at a crowd, and one for the broadcaster themselves) plugged into an Alesis mixing board. A pair of headphones is also plugged into the mixing board. All sound quality, levels, mixing, etc. is handled on the board and regular USB 2.0 comes out and plugs into a Laptop. The laptop takes the audio and simply pushes it over to IceCast servers using Edcast Reborn and MP3/Ogg Vorbis encoders. Advertisements are played as static audio files on the laptop through any old media player like Windows Media Player or even iTunes. However now some broadcasters want to be able to use their Android phones as the entire broadcasting platform. Is there anyone out there doing internet streaming from their Android devices that could offer some advice? My thought is that it's going to be tough, if not impossible, to recreate the exact level of experience for the broadcasters on a phone. I thought to get rid of the 4-channel mixing board and simply use a pair of headphones with a mic in them for the broadcaster, use DropBox on the phone to handle advertisement files so that they can be synced with a PC somewhere in the control room of a station, and then use something like the app BroadcastMyself to tie it all together. The only trouble is that broadcasters want to hear themselves in the headset. So perhaps I'll need to keep the mixer in the equation, however that has so far been a headache to find an app that can take USB audio input and hand it off to a streaming app like BroadcastMyself. Is anyone out there using their Androids as a live streaming platform to backend IceCast servers? Any advice or thoughts in general?

  12. Hi all, Airtime 2.2, the free open source radio software from Sourcefabric is out now. Here's a quick summary of what you can expect. For those of you not comfortable installing on a GNU/Linux server, Airtime Pro might be worth a look. There's a 30 day free trial - same functionality, takes care of install, security, updates and so on. Four live modes now exist in Airtime. DJs can rebroadcast incoming streams managed by a source switcher which manually, or automatically, connects to the correct source (and fades between them). Users can configure remote live input streams from DJ programs such as Mixxx or IDJC, or smartphone applications used by broadcast journalists. Additionally, they can schedule these streams in the calendar, or schedule a ‘live’ show which records from the computer’s line-in. Requested by users more than any other feature, the new Smart Blocks let users enter parameters (like genre or time last played) for a playlist and Airtime will populate that block randomly according to those conditions, before playing it out at an allotted time. The library has also been overhauled, with huge performance increases on import and improved search. Users can also drag and drop tracks directly from the library into the Now Playing list to instantly edit playout on-the-fly. Amongst 500 bug fixes and improvements, other new features include: WAV, FLAC and AAC support, plus ReplayGain to normalize volume output. User ownership of files to help stations with multiple DJs Rescan watched folders button (useful for network drives where keeping in sync is more difficult). Stereo/mono streams. Huge thanks to the growing Airtime community for testing and suggesting new features. Airtime now has hundreds of users worldwide, we couldn't do this without them!
