    Ok. Well if you know, but want to do it anyway..... Hell yeah! Streamer of my own level of sanity. I like it!

    First, paste your conf. file, and also if your doing it yourself, you want to use radiotoolbox.com (Jkeys site) alot.

    Make sure when you paste your config, you leave your password blotted out of it.

    ok here is my config file

    <!-- This config file contains a minimal set of configurable parameters, and mostly just contains the things you need to change. We created this for those who got scared away from the rather large and heavily commented icecast.xml.dist file. -->
    <icecast> <limits> <sources>2</sources> </limits> <authentication> <source-password>ron23</source-password> <relay-password></relay-password> <admin-user>admin</admin-user> <admin-password></admin-password> </authentication>
    <hostname>localhost</hostname> <listen-socket> <port>8001</port> </listen-socket> <fileserve>1</fileserve> <paths> <logdir>./logs</logdir> <webroot>./web</webroot> <adminroot>./admin</adminroot> <alias source="/stream" dest="/status.xsl"/> </paths> <logging> <accesslog>access.log</accesslog> <errorlog>error.log</errorlog> <loglevel>3</loglevel> <!-- 4 Debug, 3 Info, 2 Warn, 1 Error --> </logging></icecast>

    but the port 8001 is not open, me and a friend have done everything to port porward
    the port, i'm trying to use http://hyper-radio.zapto.org to keep the ip as it is with port 8001
    but with no success, i am using winamp and edcast to stream..............

    honestly, if your running your own server, you want to keep it organized. I would go by evens, so you can keep track of which ports to open (start at 8100, open 8010 and 8011.)

    I suggest buying a cloud server/VPS. Most hosting companies only give you Dynamic DNS if you own some kind of company.
