My Desktop runs Scientific Linux ( A derivative of Centos / Red Hate Enterprise ). This distro is officially sponsored by by both the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory and the European Organization for Nuclear Research. Absolutely rock solid stable with excellent access to multiple software repositories.
I have two laptops that run FreeBSD current and OpenBSD current. If Linux stability goes bottoms up - I will switch the Desktop over to FreeBSD and use OpenBSD as my backup.

What OS do you prefer?
While I was reading some articles in the net I was wondering what OS do you prefer for your computer. According to you Mac, Linux or Windows is the best?

I prefer linux. It is free and does not need antivirus software which slow down pc.

I also prefer linux. You can do most of the stuff you do on the Windows platform. For gaming, just buy a phone or a console. Computers were not meant to be played on. /Joke

I am running Ubuntu/Linux on my home music/jingle production PC. Like with few features to get max out of PC used.
I am also still running Microsoft XP on my "music mix" PC, most because of I don't have time to reinstall software and plug-ins needed on an other PC.
