    Lightbulb RadioDJ and MySQL 8

Just a heads up for anyone planning on using RadioDJv2 with the new MySQL8 servers.

I tried and failed several times before i realised i was installing it wrong.

You need to enable Legacy server support in the setup options. Its less secure but at least the MySQL setup now allows you to easily add a new user.

    Full Tutorial is Here

Personally we're sticking with MariaDB as its easier to setup and a lot more stable than Oracle MySQL.

Its quite a bind trying to install MySQL 8.0 IMHO.

    (Only trying to be helpful)

Heh, it's funny that 99% of applications that use MySQL dont support the SHA256 encrypted method yet.
Had the same issue last week setting up a dev machine for a project.

I believe the encryption thingy will be happening with MariaDB at some point i know Marius is already looking into the SHA256 issue regards RadioDJ and the database setup tool.
