What streaming company do you use?

We are currently using Radiostorm for our 56k's, Fast-Serv for initial 128 stream, 32k streams, 56k streams (to relay to radiostorm) and icecast for our 128k Premium members.

In the past we've used Mouse To Mouse and loved their service

We're using Mouse2Mouse, KWDServices and BandwidthDaddy. All have been excellent.

I'm renting my own dedicated server, setup an older version of Cast Control, and really enjoying it. I get triple the amount of slots I would with a traditional server reseller. I also enjoy knowing that I have direct access to the data center instead of having to go through a 3rd party to take care of my server's connection. I also enjoy knowing that I have complete control over my own servers.

Same here, dedicated server with my own shoutcast servers running on it. Gives me complete control AND no worries about going over my listener slots ... i just add more.

If you're renting a dedicated server don't you have to worry about the bandwidth still?

The plan i am currently on includes 200 GB of outbound bandwidth. I haven't even hit half of that yet. Granted my station is still relatively small (just over 4000 tlh last month).

Also keep in mind that i do not run the website off the same server. the dedicated server ONLY handles the broadcasting software and the stream servers. That keeps the bandwidth to only outgoing streams.

I looked at dedicated servers but found it a bit expensive for me but agree it is a great option, PROVIDING you get a high bandwidth plan with it..... just in case.
