Loudcity.net alternative for an Irish Citizen

We wish to broadcast globally, surely there must be some sort of website that deals with the UK or Irelands licences like loudcity.net. Purchasing the licences ourself isn't an option. PRS For Music expects a website with no income at all to purchase a licence for 500. Likewise with PPLUK for 200. That's 700 I do not have, its really harsh how broadcasters are treated. Licences fee's should not only depend on your listeners and air time but how much income you are earning through your website.

There is one option for you. You can locate Independent Artists and play them. You can find some really good artist on Jamendo.com and other sites. I posted a notice on their forum and now I have artists contacting me letting me know about their music and allowing me to play it. A lot of the music is Creative Commons and the artists post information letting you know if you can broadcast it or not. But you can not be a commercial station to play most of the songs. Most of them understand you may have banners etc. as long as your not making a lot of money from it, they may or may not say anything. Because they know you need to cover your cost to run the station.

If you play indie artist, you should post information about them on your site to help promote them. If you can contact them and tell them your are playing their music and you added some info about them on your site.

My stream is down right now but you can see what I was doing to help promote them. I put banners on the right side and they rotate as you visit the site and I have a page with some of the artists on it and I linked to their sites, mySpace page or what ever. I am a little behind on adding artists, I need to add more to the page and add banners for them as well.

Hope this helps in some way.
"I'm Retired" Donations PayPal.Me/artistview . I only do dry reads, if you want FX's you'll have to add them, I might add them. If you use my voice please link to my art site AbstractArtist.xyz, Thank you

    Hey,
It sounds like a great idea and I'll definitely look into it, so thanks for the advice. Sadly though, we wish to air the top 40 on a daily basis. Is there no other websites for the UK which allows you to pay them then they pay for the licence?

    Thanks Again,
    Richard.

Broadcasting through Loudcity would simply result in you paying royalties through the USA... I believe royalties would be paid either way, even if you don't live in the US.

No doing this only allows streaming to the US only and the stream would have to be geo-locked. There are 3 choices, give up altogether, pay the extortionate fees or just be a pirate.
