Earlier today I sent an email reminder, polite and explanatory too for those newer members of the team, regarding the playlist, why we have one and how we should stick to the auto generated playlist as it's carefully crafted to reflect the feel and style of the station etc, unless back-timing to the top of the hour to accommodate the news etc, where of course a change or adjustment can be made. Here's where it got interesting, when I got back the following response from one of my Presenters - my question is, what would you like to say / do!!!???... "I'm not willing to play anymore the songs that come up in the playlist, as 'the feel of music' has little in common with my taste, experience and knowledge... As a result, I don't want to be a part of this and you will need to find someone for Monday" -
Hi Guys, Care AM Radio for the Great East Midlands is on the lookout for new presenters to fill a few gaps live/voice tracked doesnt really matter. We are a great team been around since May and glad to say on the up, people enjoy what we do, we have a fantastic sound playing oldies from the 60s 70s and 80s, various features, also got some charities on board as well as some great people providing us with holidaying offers, breaks away and even shopping vouchers -not to forget the great imaging we use courtesy of Greg Marston and Emma Clarke and the sung IDs we use from S2BLUE/JAM If you love oldies then why not have a listen and tell us what you think - we could also do with someone who could manage our website for us, it was hacked a few weeks back and its taking us lots of time to sort the dam thing out hehe.
