Cucco3
not sure where to post this: I just saw the new movie. Any idea what they do to process his voice for that unusual quality? Thanks.

Froix
Most critics agree it's not the best part of the movie. It would be funny but entertaining though if you could pull that one off. It's something about modulating the frequency of his voice they say. I'll try to play with my audio editor to see how that works.
boxovoices
The sad fact is, it's over-dubbed. It's not Bale doing Batman. It's a VO artist.
AJH
I watched the Batman movie and I hated that. I didn't even think it was him, which if it is a VO, makes sense. I don't so much remember the other movies doing that. anyone remember?
boxovoices
The sad fact is every movie is over-dubbed to a degree. The actor either does the line again in a studio, or a similar sounding VO artist does it. It's fraud, yet everyone still lines up to buy a ticket.... snarfdude
if you know about foley, you realize 99% of the sound effects on a movie set are done on a foley stage in post production. the only thing really record on a set is dialogue, and even that, ADR (automatic dialogue replacement) takes place if the sound is poor.
