qmr
So why the change in name? It's still Virgin 1215 after all! New name but same music, maybe they thought the name change may gain more listeners but why drop a powerful brand name?

Guest Baabaa Productions
Part of Bransons business he simply licenses to a company that has purchased a division from him, such as Virgin Radio and they pay to use the name under licence. When they decide to stop using the brand name and stop paying the fee they then change there name as Virgin Radio have done. The Virgin brand was voted number one admired brand in the UK, followed by Sony and Tesco( in a recent survey) which is probably why some companies will pay the licence fee.
