Stream Host Control Panel?

Recommended Posts

Cast control had a free version when it first came out, but unless you are a PHP expert I would highly recommend NOT USING IT.

It was pretty unstable and needs a lot of fixing to make it stable.

It works for basic sc control. Start/stop the server..change the pw...setup relay. Works well for us.

Weird, I played with it and all I found were loads of bugs. The main bug was that ports would randomly be unable to edit and you would have to create a new port if you had a station that needed to edit their password or something.

We never released it to the public, just did some testing with a few people. We also tried putting it on a few different servers and it did the same thing on all of the servers.

I had that with the open source version of cast control, it seemed to be caused by the logfiles getting over a certain size (I think about 2GB) - so only on larger streams. When going to view the server from cast control, the page didn't load but deleting the log fixed it. I ended up just deleting the logs folder.

Interesting. I never really tried to figure out what caused it so we just continued to use the paid version. However, we are in the process of programming our own.

Any where I can get it?

After a simple google search:

http://www.download3000.com/script-cast-control-9038.html

Scan the file first though! I've never used or heard of that site before and it is always a good idea to take safety precautions.

EDIT!!

Use SourceForge to download. It is a safe site:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/cast-control/
