Blazin 97
When I deejay on my station I do: new song new song old song sweeper new song new song old song sweeper & then at the top of every hour I do the 'another hour' sweep. That is only when I am deejaying on the station though. When no one is there and it is in automation it plays stuff in no certain order and same thing with other station deejays. MADcHATTER
I play 5 or 6 songs in a row then a promo or DJ Drop a parody or ad station ID then back to 5 or 6 songs in a row MADcHATTER
wildun
8 songs .. station id I keep all promos and others in the station ids cat so it throws up whatever every 8 songs. I run a pal script that pulls the newest and least played songs so these are put into rotation more often until they are even with the existing songs. This exposes the newest music more often and helps keep the autodj mix fresh.

nitnitr
We program Contemporary Christian Music. We run a sweeper at the TOH that incorporates the current temperature (thanks to SPL for this feature) then a news break from USA Radio. Typically after the news there is a devotional or show promo, then another sweeper, and we come out of the break with an upbeat song. During the first half hour, we run two station liners between the music. At the bottom of the hour we run a sweeper, a promo or devotional, another sweeper, and then back to music. Again, two station liners are placed in the second half hour. Then the whole process repeats itself for the next hour. Typically we get in 13-14 songs per hour, and we have a set rotation with a mix of current music, classics, and new adds. Overnight we program Christian CHR and Rock for the younger generation. By the time it hits 6AM Eastern Time in the U.S., it's time to get back to our general Christian AC programming, reaching the office listeners and stay at home moms. wsimkins
We run an ads (not really ads - they are disguised as the hour is brought to you by, xxx) at the top of each hour followed by a sweep then basically a sweep after every 3rd song. Instead of ads in our stream we utilize video ads within our website. Hope this helps. Wes Simkins We took streaming to the next level! Jinglemaster
I don't think many understand what format means. The two formats I usually work are: 1. CHR (Chart Hit radio) 2. Talk Radio. (phone in discussion/debate) I specialize in the latter. I believe Aleous and I may be on the same wavelength. Pardon the pun.
