pokertourradio
Please remember I'm a complete novice. At the moment I have only been producing a podcast and I have been using a Sony PCM D-50 to record interviews. What I need to do now is to attach 2 mics at the same time to my laptop and record from both at the same time. I will then clean up the recording, convert it to mp3 and record it using SAM Broadcaster and stream it. I guess I need some sort of mixer so please advise. pokertourradio
What mics do you suggest and what software? Thanks.
kwdservices
If your budget is fairly low but you still want a decent mic, I would recommend the Behringer C-1. It's only $49 USD but has amazing results. If you have a little more money, the RE20 is about $300 depending on where you get it and is basically one of the best mics for on air use. Arfa B
Maplin in the UK sell mixers- get yourself a couple of Electrovoice RE50 mics- they WON'T let you down, and are a damn good price on ebay at times! Those mics are squaddie proof too- it's what I use in my studio! They will last FOREVER!!! They are often what you see news/sports reporters use on OB work. If I have helped you with a Freebie- please be kind enough to add a link from your own site or blog to mine- thanks! http://arthurburton.net Thank You! carlwelden
http://images.guitarcenter.com/products/full/Mackie/633407561159360579.jpgHow's this for a small mixer? Mackie 402-VLZ3. Two channels for mics, two channels for a stereo feed and an auxiliary input. My neighbor has one and loves that it takes up such a small footprint on his desk.
