m2m
James, We at Mouse to Mouse believe that the best recommendations - are those unsolicited postings / emails received from our clients. After all, it's easy for a host to talk about themselves ! It's more useful, however, for potential clients to hear from other existing broadcasters - Here's some of our clients' comments - I can't say enough good things about M2M. I was listed as a Windows Media featured station today and M2M was able to provision additional slots within an hour. The GEO mapping feature is quite nice as well. - William Cooper The best thing I can say about M2M is they have heart! They already had the service. I couldn't recommend any provider more. - Robert Dittman I’m not someone to ‘endorse’ a product or service however in this case I must say I think M2M does a pretty good job. ...I would say M2M is right there as well in customer service and reliability. - Lone Star Radio Just a note to say thank you to Alec for all his work last weekend. I appreciate the effort in getting me onto the server at Ashburn. It is, as you said pretty rock solid. So far, so good. - Alan Maylin Thank you for your services, you and your team have been nothing but the best as far as customer service and everything else. If there is a site I could go to and vote for Mouse to Mouse being the best, I would. So if there is, let me know and I will be happy to help in any way. - Tyler Vogel I have been using Mouse2Mouse for just a month now and I have to say that the service has been EXCELLENT and the value beyond compare! What really impressed me happened today. My ISP was obviously having an issue, because all of a sudden my stream stopped connecting to the Shoutcast server. within 15 minutes I received an email from a Mouse2Mouse rep asking if anything was wrong and if he could help. Well, as we were about to troubleshoot the issue, it resolved itself. But person helping me asked for my IP address and offered to traceroute it and see if there was any underlying issues that might be resolved. It ends up - it was a problem with Comcast. It affected many people in Connecticut. Thanks so much! I appreciate the amazing service! - John - gdradio "Your service has been excellent" - Larry Freeman "I appreciate the good service that Mouse to Mouse provides" - Curtis Jay "Have been using them for over two months now - one 128 kbps stream and one 56 kbps stream, and am very satisfied. They have been exceptionally responsive to every inquiry I have made by email, and one of their support staff jumped onto MSN Messenger with me for over an hour when I first set up my streams with them...." - DJ Eazy "Thank you once again for the excellent service we have received - I will definitely be recommending your company to other stations" - Tom Stapleton "I too have switched and let me tell ya, these guys are so awesome for us. They don't automatically assume you're an idiot if you request assistance either. These guys at mouse to mouse have been great to us. I was a bit sceptical at first and ran two companies as a back up, but now they are our primary streamers. The higher priced places have dealt us with nothing but interruptions the last couple of months. These guys have been awesome. - P.S. Did I mention they have been awesome to us?...." theBUTT Broadcasting Group "Decided to go with the double or quit offer. Ordered 100 64k slots so I'd receive 200 slots. I was set up within 20 minutes." - The Big Joe "I just signed up with them. What has impressed me is that they have kept me informed with multiple emails as to all that was going on in getting my streams up and running." - Bob - Lead me to the rock "Well , Just my 2 cents worth , I just started using M2M and have had a great experience so far , so if the business / customer relationship stays like this , well then I will just have to rave about how excellent they are :-) No Probs at all so far , keep up the good work M2M" - BullsEye Radio

THREETEN RADIO
For my streaming which includes webspace for website and unlimited storage and unlimited bandwidth I use Pacific Northwest Web Solutions We negotiated a great deal for me and I am very happy with the service as they bend over backwards to help. They have been around for over 8 years so not a new fly by night host either. I have reviewed a couple of others before but this one for me is the best so far. I would whole heartedly recommend all of them. Each have gone out of their way to be helpful. Mouse 2 Mouse Excellent hosting service! Great Support! Shoutcast Streaming US Another excellent service! aaronsnet
For small broadcasters, go to http://www.radiotoolbox.com/hosts/ to find a reputable host. For broadcasters that need more than 50 slots @ 128kbps, I recommend getting your own server from a data center, setting it up yourself, and running your own server. For around $20-$30 more a month, you get more slots, host your site, and have your very own server!
James
Follow that url and you will find hosts such as.. hosts that sell shoutcast for $1 a month then they shut down... hosts that arent hosts but are something completely unreleated... BWorld
See, if you take a look at Stream101, we offer more slots, as well as we can host your site for cheap. aaronsnet
And whats wrong with our section? http://www.broadcastingworld.net/reviews/ Your system lacks information. On RTB I can go back and see the uptime for the previous years. I can see how long a host has actually been in business. RTB does not endorse streaminghosts as "trusted and recommended'. They don't have a rating system that allows all of the other hosting companies rank their competitors low, but give themselves high ratings. They include many many other hosts that you all do not. They are ranked based on their uptime, not which order the admin prefers to put them in. I also personally think that BW has been biased towards some hosts listed in the directory. Follow that url and you will find hosts such as.. hosts that sell shoutcast for $1 a month then they shut down... hosts that arent hosts but are something completely unreleated... You are right, there are many shady hosts that are listed on RTB...but most of them are found towards the bottom of the site. The most reputable hosts are included in the server uptime tests towards the top of that site. They also include more than 8 hosts, giving the customer the ability to really shop around. It is the customer's responsiblity to determine that..if a host is charging $1 for 100 128kbps slots..that that is an unwise decision to purchase from them. The customer has the ability to puruse from several choices. There is more responsiblity that the customer has than just going to RTB, clicking on the first host that appears, then making a purchase. It requires more research, testing, and time. RTB has also been around for years. You can trust their stats. I also enjoy the staff review coming from a broadcaster that has been broadcasting for years and thorughly understands stream hosting. BTW...I have nothing to do with RTB. I have been a frequent user of them when I need to shop around for a sc company, I will always go there first because their stats have always proven to be reliabile, offer many many choices, have been around for years, and are very trusted to me. But James, you have to know what you are reading. There are only 14 Stream Hosts are have been "Certified" by Radio Tool Box. Those are the ones with a Check Mark to the left of the name. And we have had to go through over 1 month of testing and we are re-tested every so often. The other hosts listed are put up there by themselves and are not certified by RTB. And as far as web hosting goes, we ONLY do stream hosting. We wanted to focus on something that we do and do it well. And we do. Our servers and staff aren't cluttered up with a mutlitude of different things. We cater to the broadcaster and assure the stream will be up 24 / 7 and that we can answer any technial problems that might arise. Our technicans have over 10 years (each) of broadcasting experience, maintain their own iTunes stations, and really know their stuff. So, to be certified by RTB really does matter. Thats your choice. I have to say when rtb started up i doubt there would be people saying they are trusted, our section is only new and our features are limited until our alerts service upgrades (soon). Thats fine, we arent in direct competition yet with them. RTB is trusted and as i said, they have been around longer than us. I bet when they started up they were exactly like our section in terms of reputation. Even though it was the only one, Im not saying all the hosts are bad listed there. We are just trying to improve their services but on our site. RTB offers tools, web hosting company reviews, forums, etc. for broadcasters. This is exactly what this site does. In fact, this site seems to be copying what RTB already does and trying to improve upon it...which is great...but in my opinion, you cannot claim to not be in competition with them when you are doing the exact same thing. You will just have to give your service more time and build more of a reputation before it will be considered trusted by those broadcasters that have been doing this for sometime. It is a good start though, and can continued to be improved upon. Remember, all of us just want to make sure broadcasters themselves are getting the oppurtunity to use all resources possible to make a decision when it comes to their stream hosting, and RTB...along with many other web sites (including this one), are great places to start.
