jkemr Posted October 29, 2008 Share Posted October 29, 2008 OK we all know about music copyrights and stuff and we cant sell or even give away a mix we made coz of the copyrights on the music...OK so i wanna know how podcasting works then?? You can offer it as a free download so where do we stand on the copyrights ?? Like i said we cant sell any music we play or give it away as a free download. No you missed the question m8 ... :doh: I mean how/why can people offer them for free download? the music is still copyright there must be a different licence as to be? You cant have music playing on a podcast unless you have a massive license which costs more than streaming becuase its downloadable. For further details, please contact the PPL Broadcasting team. If a service wishes to include full-length sound recordings in a radio/audio programme available for download then they must arrange licensing directly with the copyright owning record company." If its music from lets say BMG, then you cannot because its not your own Are you interested in doing a podcast? Im looking for a podcast to feature on our homepage!
