alexr
We can push close to 100% uptime, once we get everything setup. The biggest problem is always moving and setting up servers. You always find out you want to change something after listeners are already tuned in and everything. Since moving out of alphared I have had a hell of a week getting the new servers correctly doing everything . Besides that everything else usually tends to work, hopefully . BWorld
We had a minor hick-up (less than a 10-15 seconds) a few weeks ago at Stream101. This was caused by a client who had an 'exploited php code.' Their code allowed someone to hack into the system. They began uploading hacked files that start sending out hundreds of requests to other servers, and our firewall immediately blocked the web port (80) for the entire server while it narrowed it down. It sent us an email, and I found the account, in which I blocked port 80 for that account. This cause our web host server to load quite slowly for about 15-20 seconds until the system blocked port 80. I had the problem fixed in under an hour, with no downtime, just a slow server . ██ Stream101 | Affordable Media Solutions ██ Shared cPanel? James
And that's why I hate web hosting.... Really nasty troj's around the web, we got infected by one through our old blog system. Got rid of it but it caused some damage inserting a hidden iframe trying to steal passwords.
