Blazin 97
Hi, my radio station has been hosting its shoutcast server off of proradioserver since June, they have (or had) real cheap prices but their website/servers have been down for a few days and I am afraid they are gone and now i am scrambling to get my station back on. I need to find a site that has a price under $11 for a 128K server with 25 slots. Any reccomendations?? Thanks!

kwdservices
Just keep in mind that cheap is not always good quality
WayneOwens
Agreed Karl, I go with Racinkid Productions http://www.racinkidproductions.com for my shoutcast.... But he charges by the quarter, so say you wanted 2 500GB FTPs, Streaming and a Website it would be a little over $100 a quarter, so roughly $35 a month....and his services are second to none when it comes to professionalism, and quality
THREETEN RADIO
Agree cheap is not best but these are not mega cheap and it is an established host and I have no problems with them hence my recommendation but do shop around, make no odds to me who you choose. Also contact kwd for a great auto dj system if you need one. :biggrinthumb: I personally go for unlimited bandwidth also.

Exozito
http://www.myshoutserver.com 's 128K 25 slot plan costs US$9.95 a month and has unlimited bandwidth.
Blazin 97
Thanks guys but never mind proradioserver's website came back up today after like 5 days of being down!! They didnt even send an email saying why or apologizing or even telling us that they were down which kinda pisses me off. If thier prices weren't so dirt cheap I'd transfter to one of your reccomendations cuz their uptime sucks and they forced my station to be off for a good few days! Jkey
The worst thing i ever did when i was desperate was get a server from fdc. Remember cheap shoutcast hosting is exactly that cheap!,you must pay for quality sad but true. something people do often is buy a cheap 200 listener server when they only have 50 listeners,This is silly it would be better to start small with quality hosting and build up over time raising donations from your listener base to cover the costs.
