Looking for some help

Hello everyone. My name is Marcus & I'm the lead tech at Stream101. I handle all of the website stuff as well as the major tech issues. I would really like some people's input about various things:

 

1) How do you like our website? (Visually) We've received many good comments about the website & I just wanted to hear what you guys think about.

 

2) How do you like our website? (Technically) Is it easy to navigate? Is there features you would like to see? Etc...

 

3) What would you like to see us offer? People have suggested different pop-up player skins, which I'm working on right now.

 

4) What can we improve on?

 

5) Any other comments/suggestions?

Your website looks fine to Me .. business look (grey colors), a quick access to several topics (shoutcast, hosting, etc) and operational the website is responding very quickly.

 

I'm a broadcaster myself .. so I'm not in need at this current moment of any provider

 

But I can imagine that people who are new to this product (streaming, hosting, Auto-DJ etc) do like to see some examples of "how things are working"

- You offer as free tool to your streamplans the Auto-DJ, several screenshots or a flash movie as example of this product would be a great idea .. because new users can see how it looks and works at the user panel ...

- An other thing who can be important is "how gonna sound my station" ... so it can be a nice idea to make a frame with for example a random view of online stations with an easy to use listen link (webplayer or by using an online flashplayer) .. for example by each access to the website a row of 3 untill 5 random stations

lets say "seeing is hearing" and afterwoulds they can buy

 

Concerning myself I'm a SAM addict .. so it can be also interesting to myself to see the operational working of Auto-DJ

I have added screenshots of some of our control panel. I'm actually working on redoing it...again, so more are to come.

It gives already a better insight on the operational working

Maybe you can add a popup window to show your screenshots .. at this moment visitors are redirected to a "new" page

You can check and try this "window.open" script (it is a simple and basic html script .. who can be used also to show SWF and other content)

Name Subject

- both sections can be deleted if you are only in need for the window.open script

the section can be replaced by http://www.stream101.com/images/shots/status-small.png ... This way the popup gonna be activated if visitors click on the image

- change bold sections where needed

Notice : this is a basic html script ... the using of a flash based script can be also interesting to your services

I was actually working on an alternative solution to that too! I was thinking of either advanced Javascript or maybe a popup window (although i dont really like popup windows). I could even make a flash script, just havent thought that much yet ;)

Just 'bumping' this thread somewhat. I wanted to announce some updates that we've done:

 

1) User Self-Help Forums - Not very active yet, even though we had dozens of clients interested

2) Fixed the screenshot page - Continuing to update that page as well

 

Anything else people would like to see? Let me know and I will try to make it happen.
