tomupton
Hi All, Im currently on the hunt for a shoutcast streaming sponsor! My website - www.lifted-radio.co.uk is going to be launching on the 02/01/2009 and we would like to partner with an online streaming company to support our streams. Im expecting the website to become very busy, the site is generating a large amount of interest already even though its not launched yet. We would be able to provide banner advertising in return. Please let me know your thoughts, and your feedback on the above site! Regards Tom

aaronsnet
The problem with trying to get a streaming company to sponsor you with a free shoutcast server, etc. is that a majority of listeners to your station will not ever sign up for streaming services since they don't run their own station...so what good for them? You never know though...there are some streaming companies that have no sense of how to properly market their product, and will grab at any free opportunity to advertise...so you never know. tomupton
I have to agree, but on the other hand im a web developer for these website and come across people on a daily basic who require streaming! Thus it could be a very good opportunity to set up an affiliation of some kind! GKIye
Hi Tom, Thats gonna be hard to find .. some providers of shoutcaststreaming do offer a 1 Month free if there where any operational problems from their side .. however you can achieve to get someone ... eather a low cost streamprovider who is in need for exposure and is in need for a superb station and who agrees to add a banner of his company in return for a free stream plan eather you gonna need some "huge" luck to achieve a contract with a reliable "pro" stream provider who is willing to give you a free stream Maybe its a better idea to search a 3rd party client, such as a company who is related to music, media and who is interested to cover "some" of the Monthly costs Except the wellknown google ads it ain't that easy to get in touch with somebody who is willing to collab with an internetstation .. to compagnies who are operational outside of the internet its an "unknown" issue .. and thats gonna take some time - also into the near future - before they agree that ads on the internet can work out also for them Concerning my own project GKRadio Europe .. I have an average of 25.000 untill 30.000 "real" visitors every Month to my website - however to find people who are willing to support a project .. thats still very hard to find Even they should be seen with their banner also at 3rd party websites, such as myspace, facebook and lots of other websites where my realtime banner is added with a redirect to my website. So your question is a general issue to a lot of internetradio broadcasters who are in search for some "backup" support to cover the Monthly costs Tom Visit and listen @ BW ! GKIye
Hi Tom, Well it looks that you gonna be one of the lucky fews Concerning the quote of shoutcaststreaming : I think most of the internetradio projects are non-profit stations - except those who are related to major or/and National networks. To the Belgian laws and in addition with my contract made with the Belgian royalty agency (Sabam) mine is also a non-commercial project. However the Belgian laws allow banners or redirect links to 3rd party websites and compagnies who are supporting a project. So banners in return for support is allowed so far no payment or money is involved Hope this info was usefull We already sponser several non-profit stations and schools Concerning my own project GKRadio Europe .. m2m
Tom, Welcome to Broadcasting World. Mouse to Mouse is due to launch a new product in the New Year called 'M2M Offset Streaming' which would fit your requirements exactly. I've run the details below - which will give you a better idea of the service we will be offering eligible stations as from the 1st January 2009. Offset Streaming from Mouse to Mouse is a new concept - and changes the way in which medium to large scale internet radio stations will stream to listeners around the world. The concept's simple - Mouse to Mouse supplies your station with the highest quality streaming provision in return for an approved web banner advertisement - placed on your station website's front / homepage. Revenue raised through genuine customer 'clickthroughs' is offset against the monthly streaming fee. The more revenue raised through the banner advertisement, the less you pay for your streaming. In fact, if your station's website is popular and receives sufficient hits - with corresponding traffic through the web banner, you could even stream for FREE ! There's some product related terms and conditions that must be agreed and adhered to, in order for your station to be considered, and offered M2M Offset Streaming So - what's the benefits to M2M Offset Streaming ? Your website traffic pays for some or all of your monthly streaming costs Minimum of 100 listener slots guaranteed Highest quality service provision with Broadcaster Control Panel (Shoutcast servers) Available for Shoutcast and Windows Media streams Broadcast at any bitrate upto 128kbps

tomupton
Just to give everyone an update on the website since launch!! We were chuffed to recieve over 500,000 hits within the first 2 weeks of operating the website, Since this has happened we have had a great amount of interest from DJ's globally including some big labels. The website is running podcasts too in which we have had over 1200 unique downloads. The main thing is we launched this website on the first of feb 2009 and have had these results already. Even better news i have been working hard on the SEO side of things with this website. If you do a google search for "exclusive house music" you will notice that the website is on the front page! Earlier today when i looked it was 2nd place! Im still looking for a station sponsor, so please let me know your thoughts. Feel free to email me directly or add me to msn!
