I've taken everything off that isn't a necessity. Even after that, things are looking grim. Anyone that has known me over the years will know I have never tried to sale them anything, till now. That's why you have seen posts by me offering things. There's a real possibility that all of my internet operations could cease to exist, not just my station.

We're fine because we don't just do hosting. Website design, mobile disc jockeying, and computer network maintenance are mainly supporting our company at the moment, although hosting stuff is breaking even which is a lot better than I expected.

None of our costs have gone up except for heating in our office which is going up very slightly. The only problem we're having with hosting stuff is that people are having trouble paying their bills, especially the big stations, and we've already lost a few of our biggest clients due to them not being able to pay the bills anymore and shutting down.

Yes, obviously not as "Cyber-FM"

My company has done Internet Hosting for a little shy of 10 years now. When it was decided to pursue this Online Radio Project (if it ever finishes getting off the ground) we realized that we should probably offer Shoutcast and Icecast hosting to the public to help offset the cost of our new equipment for the Radio.

CyberFM operates at a total loss as of right now, but sharing our hardware and bandwidth helps lessen that loss, plus if I may say, "we're pretty darn good hosts for 10 years" If you only knew how much 10tb allotment of Bandwidth per dedicated server over at Softlayer cost, you'd imagine just how much in the hole we were looking to hit. I have mortgage payments that are less LOL

So we bought a really really good domain name off of some reseller who was shutting down and revived it. Sent out some PR's and with our Reputation for regular webhosting, the customers just started to flock.

All in all, a good experience.

Business is good here, the only problem is the weakening pound compared to the dollar - I'm now paying about £500 more for my USA servers compared to 5 months ago purely as a result of the exchange rate. However, signups particularly from overseas are picking up so should even that out once some unneccesary costs are cut.
