Have you copped any abuse while being on air?

Recommended Posts

Someone i was talking to who was a regular on this site recently got abused in his own chatroom for not playing a song he loved. Ive seen this many many times when people want tickets to concerts, a song or a shoutout. People are never scared of them though, they cant really do anything to you except making theirselfs look like idiots :retard:

I got crap from some mad Dutchman, who was always off his socks on this that and the other! This was on a station some two-three years back. He complained if I didn't talk enough, and then he complained I talked too much!

You could never please him, stoopid spaced out emails all the way through the shows.... I blocked him eventually, he got very boring!

If I have helped you with a Freebie- please be kind enough to add a link from your own site or blog to mine- thanks! http://arthurburton.net

Thank You!

absolutely! people are picky and they will gladly tell you they are switching stations! my suggestion is find someone who knows something about radio so you can sound as close to the radio stations as possible. the better you sound, the more likely people will stick around to listen.

I actually remember one guy sending a message into a message board on a commercial station saying that he thought one of the singers in a group that was playing at the time was on crack and she sounded horrid, and that he would tune away to another station until they got rid of the track needless to say, every station in our market where he was located had that exact same song....so sadly, he was SCREWED!!!! LOL

Mostly from a blind man who I think complained only to hear another human voice. Sad, really. He was apparently sightless and without meaningful relationships. Our station was his target because the staff was trained to respond politely. In this case - not a chatroom or email - just standard phone.
