Spare a minute please

Guys and gals.

I hope this is not out of order. Can I ask all of you, no matter what religion you are to say a prayer for my nephew who was shot last weekend. His brother was shot dead 3 years ago.

He has been shot in the abdomen and as a result has lost his right kidney, has a laceration to his left kidney, laceration to his liver and the bullet unfortunately clipped his spine which has left him (at the moment) paralised from the chest down, although he does have some minor sensation in one leg which is promising.

He is only 20 and is gravely ill. He is concious and has got to the point today where he wants to just give up. I wouldn't normally post this type of thing and I hope you all understand. I am a Christian and thus believe in the power of prayer. As I said, whoever you are, wherever you are, in your own way please spare a minute even just to think something positive in your head.

I thank you all most sincerely. This young lad has been through a lot already, watching his brother die in his arms. He needs a break now.

Regards

Fin

Hi Fin,

Sad news indeed ... but accept Our positive healing energy to achieve a speedy recovery of your nephew

At moments as these words don't help as they should do .. for that reason the mind is far more stronger.

Tell your nephew that even he had Today a moment that he was willing to give up that this is only a moment in time and tommorrow, the day after, next week and years gonna give him satisfaction into life .. even that satisfaction looks Today far away and his believe in the good things of life are below zero .. the future gonna take care of him in a positive way.

Your nephew has to believe in hisself, prayers and healing energy made by fellow BW members can help him to achieve the right state of mind.

Take care and thanks for sharing

Can I just say that this is one of the many things that makes this such a great forum. I can honestly say that every single one of those replies felt 100% genuine. I am truly humbled. I am a member of many forums and although i have mentioned this on a couple, this is the only one that it felt like I was sharing it with friends.

It is so rare to be amongst strangers that are not strangers if that makes sense. I have felt from day one of joining this forum that I am amongst some great people. This only goes to confirm that.

I am again very grateful for all of your kind thoughts. I mean that from the bottom of my heart.

Thank you all.

  • 3 weeks later...

I am very sorry to have to inform you all that my beloved nephew lost his fight for life this morning. He seemed to be making progress and had even started some physiothaerapy this week to try and start the long process to regain the use of his legs. In reality, he was going be in a wheelchair for life it seems.

His remaining kidney failed this morning and he was rushed into surgery, but it was to no avail. He was only 20 years of age and this has come a a terrible shock to us.

I would like again to thank everyone for your kind thoughts, words and prayers. The only concellation in this is that he is now with his brother who was murdered 3 years ago.

RIP Thabiso.
