Production Request For New Online Radio Station

TechnoKelvin

Recommended Posts

I am a 23 year old college student studying Computer Science but starting my own radio station. This is an Online Dance (Techno, Electronica, Trance, etc.) Radio Station. There are no commercials or advertisers, all the expenses are coming out of my pocket in order to make a radio station that shows other Dance radio stations (Satellite, FM, Online, etc.) what you can be if you cared more about the music instead of making money or getting ratings.

What I'm looking for is something electric, energetic, technoish if that makes sense.

My budget isn't that big but I want to pay for quality. I've attached 2 dry voice overs hoping that I could get a few people to do some production on it and after I choose which one suites my station best we can work out a deal for doing production of 20 dry lines (10 from the girl, 10 from the guy).

Thanks in advance!!

Funny you should say that Eban.

I have a bit of an issue with people that ask for something free, then don't even acknowledge the fact that I have given up my time and effort to help them.

Now, I know you have been on here several times since I put mine up, so why ask for them if you aren't even going to say thanks? EDIT: This has now been done further down the thread.

Here is a few from me. I wasn't too fond of the female voice at first either but it seemed to grow on me after hearing it a million times during production.

I hope you like them. Please let me know what you think.

Also, I have a female voice available if you are not personally satisfied with the female clips that you currently have. If this is of interest to you please pm me or send me an email (address is located on the website below). I will cut you a deal on the female voice overs if you use me to produced them all as well.

Go to http://qualityradioimaging.weebly.com and listen to the auto-playing demo to hear a sample of her voice.

Thank you.

-Tim

Wow....

I'm sorry I haven't posted anything back yet. I was seeing if anyone else made any more before I left feedback / made my final choice.

Yeah I've visited the thread a lot, to see what I just said above. All those times were at work or at school on my laptop, neither place where I could listen to the mp3's. I also wanted to wait for my girlfriend to hear them to tell me her feedback but we haven't been able to be by a computer all the times we've seen each other this week.

I've had a really busy week and I apologize for the late reply but to take down the jingles because of what other people have done in the past sucks.

I'm trying my best to be as respectful as possible but so many assumptions were made and the conclusion was I was an asshole so why not act like one so you're proven right?

Regardless, thank you for taking the time to submit material. I love everyone one of them and will be giving my feedback shortly after I listen to the latest submission.

Thanks.

Kelvin. Firstly, nobody called you an 'asshole'. What frustrated me is that you and many others 'appeared' to ask for jingles, have jingles posted up and then said nothing. Whilst I apopreciate you may have been at work, you still had time to pop on the site. A simple 'thanks' would have been sufficient and takes but a moment to post.

You have unfortunately received the front end of my frustation and with reflection perhaps unfairly. As a VO I take what I do pationately. I put a lot of time and effort into doing these for members and often there is no feedback at all. To be fair, two days wasn't long for you to post feedback and I apologise for taking it out on you. I have reinstated the said jingles for you, I assumed you may already have them.

I am not to old to say sorry and trust you will accept that.:biggrinthumb:

Well ... I think We don't may go on the wrong track with things like these ...

Kelvin, a free forum who provides you with free cuts made by fellow members all made into their own style don't has to be chosen "to be the best"

Jinglemaster is a professional,EQ aka Tim also and I'm also since I first started radio into 1978 .. just like many other BW members who are doing for free a contribution to your project ..

the easy way is to say : download them, a general thanks and start using them .. thats all who is expected from you

Wow....

I'm sorry I haven't posted anything back yet. I was seeing if anyone else made any more before I left feedback / made my final choice.

Thanks.

You write into your opening that you are a Dance station

This is an Online Dance (Techno, Electronica, Trance, etc.) Radio Station

Why do you write into your PM - quote :

I liked everything about it minus the trailing background music on some of them. I'm not sure if that's how the final will be or since it was a sample you let it trail but, for instance, on the ADR 3 it trails for a while after the voice stops talking. If that could be changed

On the first and second I used a general Techno/Electro style and the third edit has a heavy trance bed and indeed it fades out at the end .. Ever heard of a fade out who can be used to fade in aka to start mixing a new track ?

Secondly I wanna tell you that I'm not doing business at BW .. I'm doing this for fun and only for fun so I can't give you an idea about the price of a 20 pack

Check out the pro section members and I'm sure they gonna produce something for you who fix with your budget

Last but not least .. be happy with what you've got so far, use what you like and if it not fix for real with what you're looking for wait and see if anyone else gonna drop by to make some edits for your project or go check / PM one of the pro production members

Alright folks, here we go:

Jinglemaster,

Thank you for apologizing. I appreciate your quick response on the first production to be done and let me say you did a great job. The sound effects and background music were amazing! Part of the reason why I wanted to wait before posting is because right after I heard what you made I wanted to call the whole thing off and declare yours the best. Now I'm understanding this forum wasn't meant to have compeitions but I do want 20 lines produced and I don't expect anyone to do it free so I'm trying to find someone to do business with. Thank you for your time and effort.

I'm glad I did wait though not as anything negative towards you but there were a lot of other well produced lines that were submitted.

Eban,

Another well produced sweeper. The only thing I would have changed was the background music but the sound effects and voice alternations were top notch for sure. Thank you for your submission.

GKREurope,

Thank you very much for the 3 different sweepers! I appreciate you putting in the time to make so many versions of it. Like I said I enjoyed them all and yes, I have heard about mixing the sweeper into the following songs, I just didn't consider doing it. You did some great work.

The Equilizer,

Wow. I really appreciate you doing both voices and your offer for another lady to do voice overs. Currently my budget doesn't allow this but I will keep your offer in mind. About the production I love how they sound. There's just something about it that I really like I just can't put my finger on it. Thank you for your submission!

I hope this is what people were expecting as I'm new to this.

That's why your request must be full of details of what you want ;)

Anyway I'm glad for Jinglemaster :)
