Pref: English VO (Dry Liner Requests)

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

I have just been offered a slot at a community radio station in Preston, UK and was wondering whether there are any artists who would be interested in doing a few dry liners for me. The liners would be included in both my personal demo tape and most of my shows on student / hospital and community radio. Being a poor student I can't afford to donate, which is a bit frustrating. I can of course rep and plug your website or name or something like that on a few shows. Anyway, if anyone can do any of these liners (with effects would be better but it's perfectly fine if you don't want to do that!). If any effects are included, anything upbeat / stabby would be fantastic.

American VO is fine but obviously English VO would probably be even better.

"It's 103.2 Preston FM with Jordan Dolan" (pronounced doh-lan)

"DJ Jord on 103.2 Preston FM .. if radio had a speed limit, we just broke it"

"Another excuse to stop working and start listening, 103.2 Preston FM with Jordan Dolan."

Thanks guys,

I'd be really appreciative.

All the best.

Jord

Again fridaynightsmoke,

I am absolutely over the moon with your jingles. All three sets are unique and professional. I'll be using them all. I have already said this to Jinglemaster, but i'll say it here aswell if anyone has any promotional jingles / sweepers of your own services then feel free to post them through and with your permission, I will try and play them on a good few shows. This way, at least you are getting some tangible benefit from creating these fantastic jingles for me.

Regards,

Jordan

You've got a very smooth British voice, fridaynightsmoke [that's not your real name is it?]

Perhaps James [admin/owner of Broadcasting World] should give you voiceover professional status.

Hope to see more of you on here!

I KNOW THAT VOICE!

Firstly, yes it does sound very good. You have a nice tone and delivery. I am not sure about your mic or pop shield though.

You have almost certainly sent me a demo at some point. I have been programme irector for several stations and it sounds very familiar. A voice is like a face to me.

Anyway, I agree with Kris. It would be nice to have you on board as a VO, so James. Do your stuff mate.

Thank you all for your kind comments. (Y)

Jinglemaster; I can confidently assure you that I have not sent a demo to you or indeed anyone else! I bought my first mic (a £30 Behringer C1, no less haha) in late november, to do a friday night show on UK Bass Radio.

Other than the show itself, and a few bits/spoof ads for it, the VOs for Jord were the first recordings I've put out.
