Jinglemaster
Then please say thanks when someone makes the effort to do you them! Due to the number of people who don't bother to say anything at the moment and especially because of the one or two who are frankly taking the mick by asking for more and more and more, I am not doing any more freebies until further notice. I give up a lot of my valuable time to do jingles on here and I think it is only reasonable that more people bother to say thanks. It is simple manners. THREETEN RADIO
It is such a shame when people do take advantage of the generous service you voice pro's offer, it ruins it for the genuine members who only ask on occasions for the odd jingle or sweeper. However I fully understand your point of view and whole heartedly support your decision , perhaps this will make the leeches think a bit before gaining nothing! The Equilizer
Since it is relevant here and was directed at leechers, here is my post from the thread you posted in the hidden VP section... I am sorry to hear about this happening to you JM. It is very unfortunate that in an awesome community like BW things like this happen and us VP's end up feeling unappreciated. I understand how you feel. I felt the same way over at RD at times. That is part of the reason why I do not contribute as much over there unless I look into the person and feel that they would at least appreciate me taking the time out of my day to spend on a production or voice over for them. Some people need to understand that when a VP or PP decide to be generous and make something for a person for FREE they do not expect money. If they did they would not have did it in the first place. Now of course, donations are always accepted but not expected. But that is besides the point. None of use wants them to kiss our butts. A simple thank you is all that is expected. That is just common sense. No matter what matter you are speaking of.
JBVoice
I enjoy doing what I do. I enjoy it more when I make a little money but doing freebies is rewarding when someone says "Thanks", thats all it takes. People sometimes call me "too generous", I tend to do ALOT for people without expecting a thing in return. This is a good trait to have most of the time. I understand your point. Although, I haven't run into much problems on BW with people not saying thanks, the only thing I have got once was a email request for a freebie but that might have not been on BW...can't remember. Hopefully, things will get better and the newbies will learn -JB Jon Bova "Successful people have libraries. Jinglemaster
That is VERY appreciated MickeyD. I know you use them on the air and have heard them many times. I am delighted you can still use them. I am also very aware that you said thanks and that you were kind enough to promote this site and indeed myself on your website. If only everyone was like MickeyD! You are VERY welcome to jingles from me as I think you know. You deserve them. BTW, anyone who hasn't been onto MickeyD's site, www.NOGFF.nl it is a great station with some very cool European 80's dance stuff on there. VERY addictive! Thanks MickeyD:biggrinthumb: Regards Fin
