Eban
I can see you're using the flashplayer for QMR, do you think there is a way to modify the flash player code to play a Icecast stream ? qmr
There a many flash players that will handle icecast, Wavestreaming's players look only to be set up for shoutcast as there isn't a mountpoint config in their set up fields. Wavestreaming
Guess we could add Icecast support in the future, not sure if that'd be possible or not. The majority of our users use SHOUTcast, and we find that is true in general... Had great success with our new players so far Wavestreaming - The Internet Radio Experts since 2004. qmr
Umm seems odd, I've never been a big fan of Flash players although I have listened to my stream in flash with Firefox with no problems for about 3 hours before the browser crashes! Must be different on each end user PC.

Must be different on each end user PC. Flash is a very, very, VERY, (did i say "very" yet?) VERY dirty, sloppy, whorish, protocol with multimedia. however, its also the most universal. The pro is the universal usage of it while the con is that it's simply horrible. To answer your question... only use Flash for streaming, in a browser, with a really powerful computer.
