I know many many hosts accept paypal, google and CC. But i want to know hat is the most used mayment method used by host's customers?

I would think Paypal would be a big player but i could be wrong. With stations accepting donations from listeners and advertising funds directly to their paypal account you would think paypal is #1. We will see :)

Please do not post personal details (as stated in most and we hope your terms of service).

Ive done a lot of research about advantages and disadvantages of adding paypal. A few people have complained about fraud and charge backs however a lot of people are very happy using it.

I decided to add paypal as a second option to credit and debit cards however I have added an incentive for customers to pay via credit card due to lower processing fees.

I know a famous email that many hosts will wake up to in the morning with it in the inbox... "Subscription payment failed"

This is very common for paypal subscribers as they run out of funds in their account and havent even added a primary card to link with their paypal and BANG goes your retention. Prompting customers to pay with card will certainly increase retention as paypal is really not designed well for subscriptions.

Either way credit card subscriptions are better however you should still accept paypal. If someone is willing to give you their hard earned cash, then just give them as many ways possible to give it to you.

Merry Christmas Everyone

Credit Card = Paypal?! No?

Not always. You dont need a credit/debit card to set up a paypal. Not here in the UK anyways. You can open an account and just sell a few bits on ebay or get funds from elsewhere.

This is the case with a lot of kids when they buy shoutcast and when they run out of funds in their paypal account they cant be charged again as no credit or debit card is added.
