Ok ive just followed you so u can follow me back. im not all clued up with exactly how it works but the more people you add the more will get your updates either online or on there phone as you can subscribe to receiveupdates that way as well.

If you have an email mailing list then u can add those to your friends and maybe get them to join too or you may find theyare already on there. Then I would get ruthless and follow all there friends too. that way you will build up a big list quickly.

As i said your in a better position to add anyone as the music you play on your station is more generic and appealing to all

I received today several other "followers" .. it looks like a religion .. isn't :)

I'm gonna do it as following .. all who are taking part of my profile .. I'm gonna follow them also

Maybe this can be also a way to reach more people

Ok ive just followed you ...

I did something similar to my myspace and facebook profile .. so I don't make that many invites ... I link those who are interested

Offcourse that way I don't have the biggest profile at myspace and FB .. but those who are linked do have interests in whats happening

So I hope thats gonna be about the same at Twitter .. start small to end big(ger)

The problem your having is cron itself doesnt know how to interpret a php script. You need to get cron to call the php binary and then interpret what your asking it to do.

To set up cron to run a php script I had to put the following in the command string :

php /public_html/Dir/twittercast.php

If php is on your path then it will find it or you may need to tell it where to find php something like :

/usr/bin/php /public_html/Dir/twittercast.php

Let me know how you get on

Hi,

You make it way to difficult ..

Use the script that you downloaded into one of my earlier replies

Change the settings who are needed

Upload "those" files to your website

Notice : you may change the name of the directory where both files are located .. for ex. twitterkiss

Once thats done and all files are uploaded to your website

Open "Command to run"

Start > "Command to run" and insert the location of the file at your website

so for example insert :

www.yourname.domain/twitterkiss/twittercast.php

i have a cron job set up and i'm getting error emails saying the following

Now open your Twitter and you gonna see the updates

Notice : don't use http:// in front of your URL only www if used in "Command to run"

It has to work out that way

Good luck !

Hi Jason,

If you wrote your stream IP and Port correctly .. the artist and song has to be seen also at your Twitter

Check once again your API.php file

i seem to get it to work, kind of, it only posts live now => listen here

and after that read the following once again :

Once thats done and all files are uploaded to your website

Open "Command to run" at your pc or server

click Start > "Command to run" and insert the location of the file at your website

so for example insert :

www.yourname.domain/twitterkiss/twittercast.php

and you are up and running :)

Hi Jason,

As reply to your PM and your message below .. this is my advice

i don't see command to run in vista nor on my win xp machine

Click the button "Start"

into the list of items you gonna see "Run"

Click on "Run" and insert at that window the following :

www.kiss96online.com/twittercast/twittercast.php

Do NOT use http:// in front of it !!!

Once again .. if all your details are written correctly into your API.php file and to your twittercast.php ... it "has" to work

Notice that if your website is hosted on Win Server 2003 and similar you can have conflicts

If your website is hosted on Linux etc .. it has to work at once

Hi Jason,

Than I see only 1 possible problem

a) Do you have your website located at a real server ?

b) Or is your website located at a users space who has in origine a redirect to your subdomain kiss96online.com ?

If a) it has to work

If b) you have to insert the complete root to that users space

I have watched your html source and it looks to Me that your website is hosted and is working with modules from a 3rd party users space

On Linux it has to work fine

If possible ask the provider of your website the /root/ to your webspace

or see your FTP and check out to find the /root/ to your webspace directory .. with a bit of luck you can see / read the root

and if you can read the /root/ to your webspace maybe you can use the IP of the server + root + your name.domain + location directory

for example

123.321.123.2/root/publichtml/kiss96online.com/twitterkiss/twittercast.php

Afterall the content of a website is nothing else than a directory who's dropped on a server into a /publichtml/ directory

So by using the IP of the server .. it can work out also

If I make a quick LoopUp of your domain it gives Me this IP :

You Registered through: GoDaddy.com

If your Familyname begins with a D and you are living or your company has its address at drive than you can be "almost" sure that the IP on top of this is correct

Please read the IP details, do not copy them into a quote section, confirm or not .. because after your reply I'm gonna delete them to keep your privacy

yes it is correct.

Hi TrueHeart,

I wanna share with you the files who has been provided by KRISISDnB.COM

Only thing you have to do is :

- change username and pass (API.php file)

- into the other file you change your listen link aka location of your asx file (twittercast.php)

- make a "Command to run" on your server or pc and insert the complete URL of the location

for example www.name.domain/twitter/twittercast.php where you have uploaded both files + title.txt

I had also some major probs .. but it worked out very good

I couldn't manage it to work on a Win Server 2003 .. but Linux and other servers where your website is located works perfect

See the attached rar for all details

PS : ALL CREDITS go to KRISISDnB.COM .. so give him a +rep please !

Sorry to reply to you so late. I have the username and password entered into the twitterAPI that's uploaded to my webserver, and the twitter_multi php file is uploaded as well. However I have no clue what the "command to run" is.

Okay I read some of your earlier replies and I think I follow but what's the deal with the ASX extension?

I just noticed, this file is only for one server. The one that I'm running is for multiple servers.
