KRISISDnB.COM has provided a file who makes it possible to login to the stream of a station by using an asx file, you can change that setting to any other filetype or link you want .. such as pls ram etc ..

Check my Twitter to see how it works

but what's the deal with the ASX extension?

The problem with the twitter updates is the size of text you can put in an update and i only had room for one link, therefore i put the asx link as oppose to pls or ram as more people have windows media player on there pc as standard than any other player so i went with that. My view was why focus on lesser known players when you can catch a large majority of listeners in one go!

I don't understand. What do you mean only room for one link?

This is from the twittercast_multi.php document

// High bitrate

$ip[1] = "123.123.123.123";

$port[1] = "8000";

// Medium bitrate

$ip[2] = "123.123.123.123";

$port[2] = "8002";

// Low bitrate

$ip[3] = "123.123.123.123";

$port[3] = "8004";

// Keep adding for more servers or

$servers = count($ip);

So really if one server goes down then twittercast will still read another one.

I see what you mean now with the ASX file. I can't do that and stay legal at the same time.

im not sure the numbers but twitter only allows something like 200 characters per message on your twitter page (www.twitter.com/krisisdnb), so you have to watch that part of the script for how many characters you use or it will chop some off which isnt what you want if you decide to put a listen link as the last part of your output as it loses its ability for people to click and listen. Obviously you can put whatever you like in your updates, i just decided for me it would be good to have curreny show title and a listen link.

Hope that helps

Click the button "Start"

into the list of items you gonna see "Run"

Click on "Run" and insert at that window the following

I tried this and using Start/Run/Command box with my url for the twittercast_multi.php document entered did open up the http://www.bfaradio.net/twittercast_multi.php page. However when I closed the page, it would not update my twitter page so I still have to keep the twittercast_multi.php page open for it to work.
