Brutish Sailor
I'm pretty surprised! I remember when I said I would NEVER register here, but it looks like broadcasting world has improved a lot! Still a little too much sponsorship for my blood, but I like the direction its headed. I'm Rob, I run a licensed stream through LC. About to purchase my first dedicated server for broadcast, and as well Im a WHMSonic forum admin. Been broadcasting for a good couple of months, and I love this hobby like a crackhead in New York loves central park. Out of the mighty city of San Diego, and raised in Hawaii. Always looking to support my fellow Shoutcasters in legal streaming. Cant wait for SCv2 to be released. Also manage the coding club "Dead Awaken Crew" responsible for DACStreamstats (now its V2), a very flexible metadata script. http://www.sonicpanel.com/forum/showthread.php?p=1528#post1528 which can be seen in action here. http://www.loudcity.com/stations/dead-awaken-radio/files/show/flash.html Long live the DIY broadcaster. Brutish Sailor
I noticed, very good stuff. Just so I don't get any grief about it.... www.brutishsailor.com The site I use as a VERY simple format to introduce small broadcasters that stumble into this industry via WHMSonic resellers the ease of using their software to make an armature site. I also use the loudcity "now playing" Iframe script just to show them the support you get out of a licensing host. Im sure your not surprised how many people out there just stumble across talk of shoutcast and jump on the broadcast bandwagon /w low cost web host. Of course, most webhost never mention the DCMA, RIAA, BMI, ASCAP, SEASC, ECT. I try to get all the new broadcasters there licensed with the proper flavor. Consider my radio site a tutorial to new broadcasters, looking for an alternative to the run-of-the-mill xoops scripts. (and God knows the unlimitless illegal xoops scripted broadcasters out there.) JBVoice
Welcome aboard sailor! ;) I am a sailor as well, not in the military, just leisure sailing...I also race Lasers, a small 1 man racing sailboat! :D Glad to have you here. If you need a full image package, I offer BW members a discount: http://www.BlueStoneGuys.com or post single requests on here and I'm sure someone will help out -JB Jon Bova "Successful people have libraries. Brutish Sailor
I love Lasers! I really haven't thought of any imaging packages yet because I am a pure hobby broadcaster. I love learning the mechanics of it. I actually could brake some decent numbers before I had some issues with my auto DJ when I was not broadcasting live (we do a 3-6 hour show depending on DJ's work schedules and family life) I think I got all the kinks worked out now, had an issue where the AutoDJ of WHMSonic was pulling tags from MP3Gain and reading random stats. Now I need to reupload all my MP3's with set audio levels > Trying to find more shoutcasters with decent shows that want a legal broadcasting status to fill my stations dead time (Hows that for a win-win situation?) But in this American economy, Its hard to get good jingles at an affordable price. If you have some kind of deal where you can discount jingles on month by month payment plan basis (I would lock you in for jingle services) , I would be VERY interested in that. Its pretty bad in the economy when you cant afford to pay by the jingle, and Im poor enough to say Im at that point. Brutish Sailor
Well THFS, Hey, thanks for being a good web host, for all the grief I have given your support team first starting out with a small account, how could I leave? I'm looking forward to your services for years to come. I cant wait to get this new dedicated server on the 1'st next month. I'm working on a script that I can use to change play list using a cheap run-of-the-mill cellular phone. It will work if someones streaming from their house, and hopefully from a AutoDJ. We will see how it goes on the server side, should take away a LOT of headache once we have access. For an idea how it works.... similar to this concept. The commands will be set to start different playlist instead of shutting down a comp. KNSJ.org / 89.1 FM San Diego

Its pretty bad in the economy when you cant afford to pay by the jingle, and Im poor enough to say Im at that point. I think I understand more what you mean. I assume you are the one that called earlier, I think what I can do for you is give you a "credit" type of service. You mention using us on an "as need" basis. I could offer a set up where you can get up to twenty : 15 second liners for $50 or ten :30 second liners. Then, all you gotta do is send an email with the script, and we will keep track of how many liners you have left. This offer is significantly cheaper because our normal price is $15 EACH liner! (BW members $5 off purchases $15 or more). I can also offer you a billing agreement where you pay $25 for two months INTEREST FREE or $15 for four months. The list goes on, I am really flexible especially with members of BW If you have any questions, concerns or want to set one of these offers up, just let me know. Email or phone will work fine.
