THREETEN RADIO
I read somewhere that using the edcast plugin in winamp and zara radio earlier version (1.4.4) that the metadata can be streams. I have linked the edcast to read the data from C:\Program Files\ZaraSoft\ZaraRadio\CurrentSong.txt which does show the song in edcast and it updates every 5 seconds. However, that is a far as it gets, it does not show anything on my stream anywhere so I can assume it is not sending the data. Have I missed something? A setting in winamp perhaps? I have auto DJ on a lot but if I can stream the song title etc... then I may go live more often. Anyone use the above successfully?
GKIye
Just an idea .. compaired to other stream software / encoders ... But needs the "Append String" section any data ? such as $combine$ or artist=#artist#&title=#title#&album=#album#&duration=#duration#&buycd=#buycd#&website=#website#&mmss=#mmss# Currently it is left "blank" Good luck and Happy Easter ! Brutish Sailor
http://bleucanard.f2s.com/bin/ Theirs a program called IMS. VERY slick, the help forums for it is on zararadios forums. VERY SLICK. Better than the Big wheel music program manager. Its going to be a LATE NIGHT FOR ME. KNSJ.org / 89.1 FM San Diego
THREETEN RADIO
http://www.zararadio.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=689&p=4209&hilit=metadata#p4209Thanks for that. The thing is the data is being read by edcast as seen in the attachment, it is not being streamed though. Philippe: I know what you mean but do not know what string there has to be (if any) and where. More research needed, I hoped someone on here had already done this. Brutish Sailor
If its being read by edcast, it should be getting streamed. Are you sure that its not the "now playing" script KNSJ.org / 89.1 FM San Diego
THREETEN RADIO
I'm not sure, I saw somewhere that by edcast reading the now playing text in zara that it will stream it but it is not working for me anyway. I have got SAM I can use but I really don't like it so want another (free) way of sending track data without complicated scripts etc... if there is such a way but I read somewhere that this will work, I cannot find where I read that though, have trawled through google. Brutish Sailor
Ok, first lets figure out why this isnt working... I need to figure out why your zara has a "now playing" txt and mine doesnt lol. Looked all through the program files. KNSJ.org / 89.1 FM San Diego
Brutish Sailor
Try our DACstats script. The readme is dummy proof. Also keep in mind if you use that FREE stationengine flash player Alex has (the "social player"), I think it has a metadata script built in.
