Brutish Sailor
Now I understand Flash a little better. At first I thought somnething like trendy was the only way I was going to put a site together... Now Im starting to play with SWiSH, and its helping me to understand the concepts of flash... Flash sites are actually VERY easy to assemble, its just programming the flash itself. Its kinda like making a movie. All the graphics are based on simple and dynamic objects. While simple objects like button's are based on 4 concepts (up, down, side and in) dynamic is all touchy... But its all kinda falling into place. This might be a lot simpler than I thought. The hardest concept that I was screwing up before is understanding that NSV video is in the same aspect, all broken up, you cant just slap together something recorded like FMV and expect it to work... Getting there.... Its kinda scary now with flash, because once you realize how simple it is, you realise how simple these complex looking flash sites are, its all kinda like movie reels that are interactive and different reels for the same projector... Brutish Sailor
The one thing that blows my mind is that if every button is interactive, EVERYTHING is interactive... I get that a flash media server compresses it, but still.... WHY ISNT A TON OF BANDWIDTH USED??? If you have a decent animation at 540 kbps, then You should be KILLING some bandwidth every time one of the "scenes" is interfaced with.
