wildun
I think it would be cool to have voice talents post basic pricing and make it a sticky. I shop when I want imaging. If there were some basic prices I could do it all from BW. So much for stingers, sweepers, 15 secs, 30 secs, etc. Produced and dry. You can always dicker price after a contact. Just a thought. I just spent money .. you maybe coulda had it? I'm gonna pay as little as I can and get the desired results ..
GKIye
Check out the new BW section : http://www.broadcastingworld.net/imaging/marketplace/ this is getting pretty close to what you are looking for Visit and listen @ BW !
James
Thanks for the suggestions, the thing is we cant put a price on voiceovers, we have different talents from all over the world! Thats a difference in currency, imaging artists pricerange etc... But if we got all to agree on a basic price, it could be a good idea! Watch this space! ;) Studiio - All-In-One Radio Communication Platform SMS | Phone Calls | Social Media | Content
JBVoice
James, you might be on to something. Maybe we can all agree on ONE specific price exclusively for BW members. What about....having a set price for :15 :30 and :60 spots both dry and produced and all the member has to do is select the voice, pay etc. I don't know, just my idea...adding to you guys's -JB Jon Bova "Successful people have libraries. James
I dream about doing this Having a page where people can get a rough estimate on how much it will cost to get a produced piece or a voiceover... wildun
I realize prices and currencys vary, paypal converts it though and is widely used. I have had estimates as high as $250 for a 15 sec spot. Obviously I didn't use that voice.. lol. A basic rate would be great. My philosophy is if the quality is there and it's affordable, go for it. Rule of thumb is to re-image once a month to keep a station fresh, that's a lot of work for voice over folks assuming it can be done affordably. I have some voice over talent I use regularly, but diversity is always better. Every voice over specialist has their own style. I like to change up and use different styles. Any station that wants to succeed should do the same, keep the voice overs fresh.
PhoenixWebRadio
International currency conversion is a pain. I pay weekly for a weekend show on Totally 80's that I agreed on a $40 a week prices, well once converted to 28 British pounds or Euros, what ever they are using, and the value of the dollar to that, I think I paid $48 last time, so a little hard to reconcile my budget. The image people I use are so low key about payment, Amie is like $10 a liner and though I haven't ordered from Jeff lately, I think he's in the same ballpark, but both have been willing to make exceptions on occassion. They like being out there and understand what Internet radio owners are going through so they have been a joy to work with
JBVoice
That is exactly right, I have alot of clients from the UK and I generally don't pay attention to the conversion rate. Like a few weeks ago, I received $2 after paypal fees and conversion, for a :30 second spot. See, I generally don't mind doing cheap work, as long as I have my regular full imaging customers and clients. Jon Bova "Successful people have libraries. JBVoice
I'd like to note, that I just launched my subscription service. The idea is for stations to get fresh imaging once a month for a small unbeatable fee. I can only take 10-20 clients for each membership plan due to the amount of work it would need, so once I reach my peak limit, I'll be closing it, until a client drops the subscription. If anyone is interested in the service, let me know and check out my site: http://www.BlueStoneGuys.com Jon Bova "Successful people have libraries.
