wildun
I wanted to ask about this as I'm thinking about doing it. Are jingles popular with stations? I mean produced and sung station jingles. I have professional voice talent available that could do these affordably, both male and female. Is there any interest in this? Thanks
Brutish Sailor
I use them. Its kind of like a stations "prestige" KNSJ.org / 89.1 FM San Diego
Guest Baabaa Productions
From what I have seen here and other sites there is a big demand for cost effective sung jingles. I would think this would be a good area to look into. Mark:)
Neilad79
I'd love to have the opportunity to have a set of cost effective sung jingles.
Jinglemaster
I used to do all sung jingles through the vocoder. Here is one from 14 years ago. Actual sung jingles using decent singers and harmonies cost money. I will be setting this up in the next few weeks too. I have had enough enquiries about this over the last few months, so it will go ahead. Pricing is very much being dependent on the workload. you cannot get 6 professional singers in to do a single 10 second sing unless the client has won the lottery. Plan is a once a month recording session where all the jingles get done in one go. Cost around £50 per jingle is a ball park figure.
wildun
Thats about the same pricing I was thinking, around $75 usd per short produced jingle. You are right, the singers have to be paid. Turn over time would depend on volume. If there were 5 orders then I would call in the singers to record. I'll make a sample mp3 using some of my singers and see if folks are interested after they hear it.
Jinglemaster
Good luck, but you will need a good quality studio for this. I have access to one as I sold the whole studio a few weeks ago and part of the deal was that I get free studio time within reason in return for helping them run it. wildun
Good luck, but you will need a good quality studio for this. I have access to one as I sold the whole studio a few weeks ago and part of the deal was that I get free studio time within reason in return for helping them run it. I have a professional recording studio available for free as well as my own smaller studio. My family has been in the music business over 50 years. My parents did a weekly music tv show for many years locally. My brothers and sisters still perform professionally (my singers). I can produce these easily enough at an affordable rate because they are family, and yes they can sing :biggrinthumb:. A similar product from what I have found is around $250 usd per jingle, that's to high for me, so I assume it is too high for other stations. Even family expect to get something, therefore the $75. 3 singers, $25 each, I don't need money for my time, just trying to help out the internet radio community. I thought this would be a good way to do it. Not my intention to compete with any vo folks, just want to help internet stations have a professional sound. JBVoice
I actually got my gf (now ex gf) to sing some jingles with Blue Stone Productions for the short time we were together...and that same client came back begging for more, I had to break the news to them...lol So, going with people you know is a great idea, family or friends. -JB Jon Bova "Successful people have libraries. wildun
I apologize if I offened anyone (jinglemaster in particular) I didn't sign up for that. My emphasis is on internet radio since I broadcast. I only try to offer alternatives to the highly priced radio industry rates. I have used your posts to better do that. If I have offended you, my bad. I don't like to let things float. PM me.
