James
Digital radio is here, nearly every country is or has considered switching on DAB. But its up to consumers when they want to upgrade to a clearer sound and song/station information on the go. When will you upgrade ? voodoohippie
I think I'll upgrade when more real Progressive Rock, Classic Album Rock stations are available to listen to. In some cities its really good. Here in Elizabeth City the Radio market is a little better than say Lansing Michigan where there is very little to offer and to my knowledge in Lansing, Michigan there is still no HD Radio(but its been 2 yrs since I lived there). You can get HD Radio if you live along side of Virginia Beach. I think just like anything else the prices will drop as the demand calls for it. I think only the elite music lover will buy HD Radio and mostly to get away from Top 40 and Rap. Johnnie
Well, my dad has been working in the development side of DAB for quite some time. Although neither of us will upgrade to DAB until it beats FM quality
paulpeter
You can get a DAB radio and feed it through the amp if it has a line-in and the DAB has a line-out or headphone socket. There was a small DAB unit on the market a while back made especially to serve as a sort of add-on for hi-fis,amps etc. but I don't know if they still sell them. johny c
At this time I'm not fussed. For me there's nothing wrong with FM. wildun
I'm with johny c on this one. The digital radio didn't go ver well in the U.S. FM is still predominantly the radio medium used.
