Brutish Sailor
heres what I got together. Cost : $2.50 Materials: Nylon stocking Iron coat hanger Scotch tape. http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee69/Brutish/Image016.jpg http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee69/Brutish/Image015.jpg http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee69/Brutish/Image017.jpg Instead of 1 layer, I ran the stocking all the way around, so its double padded, but Im not sure if Im getting the effect a pop screen should have. Any ideas> Attached is an audio sample... KNSJ.org / 89.1 FM San Diego

Arfa B
I find those flat screen type pop shields very hard to use, only use them when I do a loud "shout" type voice! I have a normal foam popshield- two actually one small thin one inside a larger one! I also never talk directly into the mic. always at a slight 45 degree angle and sort of talk across it. I can't bear condensor mics beacuase they are too sensitive for my voice, I jst pop them all the time! My knackered old RE50 does me well! If I have helped you with a Freebie- please be kind enough to add a link from your own site or blog to mine- thanks! http://arthurburton.net Thank You! GKIye
Thats also my idea Since I first started with radio (in 1978) .. I always learned to set the top of the mic at the same height as the bottom of your chin Is chin the right word in English ? I hope so .. I also never talk directly into the mic. always at a slight 45 degree angle and sort of talk across it With the 45 degree angle it gonna work out very good Depending on what mood or style you wanna give to your voice you can set your mic on a distance of 30cm untill real close .. according to the settings of Arthur. Attached a small example of a promo made by myself used to announce my weekly set .. hope you gonna like the results Visit and listen @ BW ! GKIye
hahahaha Thanks Arthur ! That makes my day perfect ... ! Afterall .. if you know that I started into 1978 .. you know the reason why my caracter "harry" sounds that way I'm lucky that in general my voice never changed during that time .. unless my voice became more adult .. compaired to the "first" years If you have the chance to check out my project GKRadio Europe ... Listen to the TOTH .. you gonna feel yourself "very" happy if you hear the TOTH My project is streaming from the city of Ostend (city at the borders of the Nordsea ) ... and I added to the Summer TOTH some offshore sounds You gonna love it .. I'm sure of that As UK citizen I'm sure you know Ostend very well as city who has a daily mailboat connection to Dover Hey Phillipe, you sound very Offshore.... Visit and listen @ BW !
