Internet Radio Awards - REOPEN

GKREurope,

This was an oversight on my part. Apologies for this, an EU selection has now been added to the dropdown menu, so feel free to register!

@fozzy, I am unsure why the "noname" email was sent.. Could of been a problem in the registration script not generating the email correctly. I'll look into that.

Best of luck to all competing!

Regards,

Dave

Hi GKREurope,

That is rather strange, the website is showing as online here, and one of my favourite websites (downforeveryoneorjustme.com) is also showing it as online.

May be a temporary local issue at your exchange/provider - Try again shortly :)

Well mine is now rated twice as "1" ... so keep that please as "the best"

Well PayPal is just a click away at my website of my project for any contributions for support help :)

I'm a guy who is reading before I make any signup .. otherwise I don't signup to a service if the content isn't right or should give a possible second option.

Lets say that I have some experiences into media (since 1978) and during the past 30 years I have seen and met already lots of people "and" things who learned Me to make one step at a time.

Hi Dave,

I did some work all for nothing ... I guess

All usefull banners of the "promo tools" are updated to my website, myspace and RSS feed ...

I just made a try-out for the result .. and this is the answer I see after I used the banner redirect :

The voting for the Internet Radio Awards is now closed. This vote has not been registered.

Voting was open for a period of 3 months, which started on the 31st August, and closed on 30th November.

The results will be announced on this website and on the Net 40 on the 14th December.

Is it Me .. or do I have just a bad Monday feeling ?

If a contest is "REOPEN" as quoted on top of this topic, than it has to be operational !

PS : see my website for the results of the updated banners (see signature)

GKREurope,

Banners should not be placed upon your website until the 1st October, this is when the voting period begins. There's a message in the "Promo tools" section above the banners stating this.

The reason for this is to give all stations an equal, fair competition in the awards. We couldnt let a station that signed up right at the beginning have a better chance than someone who's just signed up as it were.

If you could remove the banners from your website for now, and an e-mail will be sent out 2 days before the voting period begins, reminding you to place them online.

Rgds,

Dave

Fozzy,

An email was sent out last night containing the latest updates and happenings with the awards. I am not sure as to why you are receiving a "noname" file.

Does your email client support HTML email, as this could be what it is. Using the same method to send emails to users I have sent myself many and haven't been able to replicate the issue.

Let me know if your email client supports html and I can look into it further.

The email which was sent out last night contained the following:

Hey!

It's Dave here from the Internet Radio Awards, just an email to let you know a few exciting updates that will be taking place shortly, and we'd like your thoughts on these please :)

Firstly, we're having a special, custom Internet Radio Awards player designed by Innocast broadcast systems. What is this? Well it's a small downloadable application that people can download from the Internet Radio Awards, allowing them to tune into all stations registered. It will consist of a dropdown list with all registered stations allowing the user to flick between stations at a click! We'd like your input on this and will consider all good ideas, so please feel free to get in touch :)

Secondly, The Net 40 will be returning shortly! The website is going through a major facelift and backend upgrades. Once they're finished and out the way you'll be able to pick up the Net 40 stream for syndication on your station! If you don't know what The Net 40 is, it's basically a user generated chart show! - Songs are suggested by users of the website and added to the voting page. Users can then add votes for each track and Every sunday this list is compiled and broadcast in a station-unbranded format which you can pick up, re-broadcast and layer your jingles over the top!

Finally, and probably most importantly.. Are you Diggin' it? - Hmm, sorry, I was trying to be cool when I wasn't! Basically we need your help! As you can Imagine, the Internet Radio Awards costs quite a bit to run, and to pay for this, we need to attract advertisers. Don't worry, we're not asking for a donation! http://www.internetradioawards.co.uk/js/tinymce/jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/img/smiley-wink.gif - Basically on our front page (here) we have a cool little app for submitting the Internet Radio Awards to Digg, Furl and many more! If you would be able to take a few minutes of your time to submit the site to Digg, it may help towards bringing those advertisers in and keeping the awards free for all!

I'll be back in touch soon with the latest updates on the contest and when the Net 40 is returning!

Take care!

Dave
