Brutish Sailor
Nah, 8 days before I leave. I was just suprised it happened, and wish I could figure out why the channel went bad. I guess these things just happen. I was just wandering if it was something I did with phantom power that caused it? johny c
Not if you didnt connect the mixer output to the mic input somehow with the Phantom power switched on. Sometimes shit just happens, no reasons. Brutish Sailor
I still need to write behringer, and tell them how pissed I am. I only had the thing TWO MONTHS!!!!! KNSJ.org / 89.1 FM San Diego
Bizzacore
Behringer mixing boards are notorious for that exact problem. I had mine (Xenyx 1832FX) just over a year, and the Main Out Right channel crapped out on me. A buddy of mine had his just about 2 years, and same thing happened to his. I decided after that, that I would go with a different brand of console, and I got myself an Alesis Studio 24, and short of the pots being dirty and causing a similar problem, the board has been great to me. You know, thinking about it, those smaller mixers are more or less mass produced to keep the flow of people buying them. You probably just got stuck with one that slipped through QA. If it didn't happen to you, it would have happened to someone else. Technology is flaky haha Two months, shouldn't you be covered under some kind of manufacturer warranty? I never looked at the warranty on mine, because I had it for over a year like I mentioned earlier and there was no way it was still covered. Something to consider, unless you already have. heh
Brutish Sailor
Got it on sale, no returns... I am hoping to find a nice, cheap , decent quality small one. Not that I was going to put this out, but I am headed on a "business" trip (In the middle east...), and Im going to try to wire it so all the feeds go into an MP3 recorder. Either that, or my wife is thinking about taking my station over.... Which is kinda my worst nightmare, because she will make it another techno/electronica/house station (Not that her playlist are ever bad.... She has a pretty big fanbase... RandomRose on myspace) But its still my worst nightmare. KNSJ.org / 89.1 FM San Diego
