theoriginalrage
I am running Sam Broadcaster v4.2.2 and I want to be able to use it to its fullest potential. I probably need to upgrade the sound card in my computer to do it, but I don't know which would be best for it. Any recomendations?
JBVoice
Well, I use to use a sound blaster hd audio card I picked up for about $30-40 and it worked great. Now, I use the Fast Track Pro USB/Firewire Interface, but thats mostly for recording...I don't do much broadcasting anymore :/ -JB Jon Bova "Successful people have libraries. Arfa B
I use a cheap old SB16 with SAM on mine, and it sounds great! If I have helped you with a Freebie- please be kind enough to add a link from your own site or blog to mine- thanks! http://arthurburton.net Thank You! JBVoice
Yeah, the sound card isn't all that important, unless you are dealing with more then 128kbps sound, then you might want to upgrade -JB Jon Bova "Successful people have libraries. GKIye
The funny thing about this is that it don't has to cost you anything .. No investements at all Once again, I wanna redirect you to my sticky topics about SAM at this link : http://forums.broadcastingworld.net/showthread.php?t=7199 (see the 3rd chapter about "soundcard") That item gonna explain you how to use SAM without the use of your soundcard. I am running Sam Broadcaster v4.2.2 Any recomendations? Visit and listen @ BW !
Joonas Piiroinen
I'm using Esi Juli@ for webcasting and recording. I think it's pretty good intenal soundcard for it's price! You should check that out! :biggrinthumb:
theoriginalrage
Cool. I think I want to get a better soundcard or maybe even have 2 soundcards running so I can have a separate audio chain for the cueing. There are a lot of things you can do with SAM aside from having auto play music all the time but to get into that I think I need to beef up my over all audio chain. JBVoice
I never even thought of assigning a seperate sound card for previewing songs! Brilliant! I feel prettys stupid right about now....lol -JB Jon Bova "Successful people have libraries. The rest have big screen TVs. - Jim Rohn"

kwdservices
I've found that the Line6 TonePort UX2 is great, mostly because it is fairly low cost considering what you get out of it. Amazing quality too!
