Sound cards. What's best for sam?

Recommended Posts

Well, I use to use a sound blaster hd audio card I picked up for about $30-40 and it worked great. Now, I use the Fast Track Pro USB/Firewire Interface, but thats mostly for recording...I don't do much broadcasting anymore :/

Yeah, the sound card isn't all that important, unless you are dealing with more then 128kbps sound, then you might want to upgrade XD

The funny thing about this is that it don't has to cost you anything .. No investements at all

Once again, I wanna redirect you to my sticky topics about SAM at this link :

http://forums.broadcastingworld.net/showthread.php?t=7199

(see the 3rd chapter about "soundcard")

That item gonna explain you how to use SAM without the use of your soundcard.

I am running Sam Broadcaster v4.2.2 Any recomendations?

Cool. I think I want to get a better soundcard or maybe even have 2 soundcards running so I can have a separate audio chain for the cueing. There are a lot of things you can do with SAM aside from having auto play music all the time but to get into that I think I need to beef up my over all audio chain.

Sam is powerful enough to do it if you have the right set up. It would be nice to match beats and tempos during our ElectroMix show.
