theoriginalrage
I've read threads about people not wanting the sweepers and promos showing up on their websites recently played list. This is the solution I have come up with. Rather than finding a piece of code that determines if it's a song or a sweeper playing, then not writing it to the html, I just went to Song Info on each one of my sweepers and promos and gave them a title. It's kind of like having promos for my website that automatically get thrown in. If you go to mylocaljams.com and look at the recently played you will see little "notes" in between songs that inform people about what they can do on my site. Pretty sweet, huh? voodoohippie
I've done that on my station when I announce the songs. I've changed my announce file to either be "stations.swcast.net/thelegacy" or "Rockline" and the number. I'm surprised no one thought of that. I use to just have A1, A2, and so long, but you still can change the ID tag of your announce file or promo file. m3gab0y
I'm using this on a few places. I just name the ID's as the radio slogan ex. "Your best music station", "Listen to more hits" or so on.
