JJDJRadio
Right now I run two 1/4" jacks from my mixer into one 1/8" jack into the imput of my computer. I use the mixer for the microphones. My PC with SAM Broadcasting play the music. I would like to be able to monitor the music from the board and no the PC. right now I monitor it from the PC and the MIC is delayed, I turned down the pack and packets setting in the voice fx portion and too look it gets choppy, but right now its set so its almost real time, but i hear it 30ms later so it sounds like a bad echo. and If i took the line out of the computer and ran it into the input of the board, i'd essentially be playing it twice. Thoughts? I hope I explained it well. JC
JBVoice
If you have the tape in/outs (red/white) you can do what I do. Run the tape OUT to the mic or line input on computer, and run the tape IN from headphone/speaker jack on the pc. All you need is 2 stereo cables (1/8 to red/white. Then mute the line in/mic monitor and boom, you are monitoring your pc -JB Jon Bova "Successful people have libraries. JBVoice
JJDJ, I assume you mean, mute the line in playback coming from your computer, causing the anoying echo? All you need to do is go into your sound playback settings and mute either line in or mic (whichever one your using) and boom. Let me know if this is what you needed. -JB Jon Bova "Successful people have libraries. The rest have big screen TVs. - Jim Rohn"
theoriginalrage
I want to do the same thing. Here is my plan. Right now all I have is my old Tascam 4 track that I'm using as my mixer but I might just keep it since it works fine. What I am eventually going to do is get 2 soundcards for my computer and use one for the input and output and one for the cue. On my input output card I will run my 4 track (and mic) into it and my normal computer speakers out of it. Then I am going to take the output of the cue soundcard and run it into my 4 track and use my headphones with it as cue. That way when I am talking I can turn my computer speakers off and just listen to the cue through my headphones.
JJDJRadio
I think I didnt make it very clear. Right now my mics run from my board into my pc. on my pc I play the music and leave the mic on in sam broadcaster and just mute the mics when music is on. When I speak into the mics (my headphones are pluged into the pc) I get this awful delay/echo. Thats what im trying to eliminate.
