Unable to send data fast enough. Using SAM, Please Help!

Okay, So to Broadcast i'm using

 

SAM Broadcaster v4.2.2

 

And the output format i am using is..

MP3 (Normal)

High Quality

48kb/s (6.0 KBytes/s)

32.0kHz

Mono

 

And for Hosting i am using

And yet i'm still experiencing "Unable to send data fast enough." about 2 1/2 minuets broadcasting?

1.83 GHz, 448 MB of RAM

I've been trying to solve how to fix this for a long time now and it's just getting to the point of giving up. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated and if you need to know any more information just ask

Oh, and i apologize for the double post..

But if it help's , i am using TWO routers.. i don't think it should

be a problem though.

I sometimes have this issue with SAM, I set up a shoutcast DNAS on the same pc as SAM and get your external shoutcast server to relay from yours.

 

I have found this way more stable and you can check your own DNAS logs for connection issues.

Tried turning the 2nd router off for a while to see if it cure's the problem?

It's invariably always a process of elimination!

That's only a low bit rate you are using- so strange why you are suffering?

i tried using Shoutcast DNAS, but for some reason it just didn't work,

that or i didn't understand how to use it. i forwarded the ports for it

and everything, so i'm not sure, quick guide? haha

 

and i'll try that out Arthurburton, hopefully it helps,

and yeah it was strange i'm suffering with a low bit rate haha :(

Did you open ports 8000 & 8001 on both routers?, using two can be tricky but not impossible.

I turned off one router, and it's still doing it.

Since you are using a free shoutcast place, I can only assume that it is the issue. If the bandwidth to the provider cannot keep up with your speed which seem very good, the host might be the issue.

because i was gonna pay $15 for 129kbs and go with them,

but if there the problem then, i have no clue who else to go with.

I have this problem with SAM on a vista computer ,so i switched to the DSP plugin via audio mixer line,only problem it won't send track/artist info...(any ideas)Yet Sam on Window xp computer works fine...Stream provided by Mixstream.net

I forgot about that! That might be the issue, but again, if you are getting speeds like that and still receiving the error, change hosts.

1- MarcAlle, I know you are a moderator, but you continue to try to sell everyone to sign up for your Stream Hosting. I find this to be distasteful and disrepectful to your job as moderator. Try actiing like a moderator and address the issues.

 

2- If you look at the data that he supplied, you can see from the WinMTR results that the problem is in the next to last hop before it reaches his OVH server. The hop at chtix.routers.eu has a 25% packet loss. There is also a 8% loss at routers.ovh.net.

 

These two losses would indeed cause his stream to receive the error. The error is NOT due to SAM.

 

So, indeed, the issue is with your streamhost OVH. See if they can change the peering for your server. If not, try another host that will have better ping times than 204 msecs, which is a little high.

to use that test in order to understand whats happening.

Hi, I understand your point but I was simply making a suggestion. The OP asked for suggestions, and if they ask I will give my company. I never have tried to 'force' people to go to my company, nor do I 'try to sell everyone'. If you have an issue, please PM me directly and I will be happy to discuss it.

I've had a similar problem myself a while back. By changing the location of the streaming server it eliminated 99% of the buffering problems.
