Modemadfan
Hi, I am creating a Playlist/Show on my home computer. I then Save it and try to broadcast from my local Radio Station who also have Zara Radio but it won't play. The playlist is there but the music won't play. If I manually drag the track into Zara then it plays. I am saving the Playlist/Show as a list but I have noticed that there are other options to save as (Rotation, Sequence, M3U List and PLS list) and I am wondering if I should be using them. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Gary
johny c
Thats because it sounds like the files are in a diffent place on the station pc from your home pc. They need to match up on the playlist. eg Home pc D:/ music/Beatles - Help Station pc D:/music/Beatles - Help. If they are not in the same directory they wont play. If they are home pc D:/music/Beatles - Help Station pc C:/mp3/Beatles - Help they wont play. A playlist file is just a shortcut file. You can open it up in notepad and see where the files are stored. If they dont match, it wont play. Modemadfan
Thanks Johny C. I tried again today and I noticed that. So I suppose if I create it on a USB that won't work either as the USB Drive I use at home is J and in the Studio it's E: Ah well just have to manually add them then!! johny c
You could change the files on your home pc so they match with the station pc. I have all my files in the same place on each pc here. Modemadfan
Thanks a million Johny C. I'll just stick my music on a USB and copy it to the station's computer but I will change one of my drives to be the same as the stations. Thanks
