Welcome Marianne from down home, enjoy your stay and dont feel shy to ask for help with anything.

What are you up to in the US.

Johny

Been living here for 3 years too long. I am returning to NZ early next year, once i get enough money to return home ...

Actually I was hoping to live in Raglan. One of my children is flatting there, she used to work (until really recently), in that coffee shop on the corner, just down from your radio station...Tounge and groove is it?

Nice to meet you Johny. Having a nice saturday? or are you working?

Cheers!

Cool. Your talking about Raglan Radio, Im not with them ( I use to be the station Manager & DJ there), I have my own station now. There are 3 stations in town. Its great because we cover all sorts of music between us and have our own following. At the mo Im still in bed.

Little Raglan has 3 radio stations now!?! Wow! That is really impressive... I have been looking at the cost of rental accommodation for my return, I have to say it is a tad depressing... costs have escalated so much since I left NZ...

What is the job situation like? Are there any jobs in Raglan or do we have to go to Hamilton to find try and find work?

Oh yeah, only 7.45am there, 3.45pm here.. Nice to be able to have a lay in eh! :)

Not much work around here and rents are all around the $300 a week mark here. Most people drive to Hamilton each day for work. Aaron lives down in the South Island and I connect to his show by the net.

He just had a pc crash, It looks like its going to be one of these days, I think I might stay in bed, but the sun has now come out and its tempting to get up lol.

Great to see another NZ member!

Would you like Voiceover Professional Status and a free profile in our Imaging Section?

-James

Hello Marianne and welcome to the best broadcasting website on the Internet !

Thanks Johny.. yeah I was looking at rents... even in Hamilton the cost is astounding now... $200.00 for a 1 bedroom flat in some cases... Wow, how do they expect people to live? Might have to pitch a tent at the camping grounds. :)

Hi JB... Nice to meet you. :) Isn't this a great place? It is very laid back and focuses on all aspects of broadcasting which is neat and different from simply vo sites... AND run from people from just across the ditch as we like to say in NZ.

I miss my home and cannot wait to get back to a country where nothing that bites can kill you... (on land anyway!)
