kiwiborn
I apologize for contacting everyone this way, but at the moment I do not have the time to email everyone. I am sorry that I did not have your vo's for you yesterday as promised. I was up at the doctors with my husband. He was just diagnosed yesterday as having a malignant growth in his intestines. So I am a tad scattered at the moment. Today we are having more tests and pre-op work done. If I can get home in a reasonable hour tonight, I will try and get them done for you then, or if you are in no hurry in a couple of days when things have settled and we are not quite so emotional. Thanks for your understanding. Regards Marianne
Jinglemaster
Hey Marriane. Sorry to hear the news! Just concentrate on getting hubby better. My thoughts are with you both whilst you go through this akward time together. Be strong. Fin
kiwiborn
Thanks Fin.. we are about to head off again in 10 minutes. Fortunately, (or not so depending on how you look at it), I was a nurse for over 30 years, and a good part of that spent in oncology. So at least I have more than a measure of understanding of what we are facing. Still the type we are certain he has is pretty treatable, with very low recurrence rates, provided it has not invaded the lymph nodes. So I remain positive and optimistic. Thanks heaps I will come back on here when I get home tonight if I am emotionally up to it. Cheers!

kiwiborn
Hi everyone.. Just sitting at the hospital next to hubby who is sleeping. He gave birth to a 2lb malignant tumour on thursday (here in US.. Friday there). Fortunately they were able to remove it all with no signs of spread anywhere. Wow I can't get over the hospital here, the main entrance is like entering a 5 star hotel.. talk about posh! I am going home shortly to get some much needed sleep, I have been up here with him for three nights now and not much sleep. So I will catch you all later. Cheers Marianne
Jinglemaster
Hey Marianne We have been thinking of you. That is terrible news about hubby, but a great outcome. He is lucky to have such a wonderful gal by his side - literally. We all wish him a very speedy recovery. He is over the last hurdle now and sprinting for the winning line, so I am delighted for him. As for you, go home, run a bath and have a good cry. It is all over and you can now look forward to getting on with your lives together again. 10/10 brave girl. All the very, very best Fin

kiwiborn
Hey thanks guys, I am really appreciative of your kind words and thoughts. Hubby is recouping from the surgery at his parents home as I have to work during the day and his dad is retired so can look after him. We see the Oncologist next week, so should have his prognosis and all the pathology results in by then. But what we do know is that the tumour that he has is very rare... around 10-20 people per million get this type of cancer. Nice to be back here and doing vo work. AND on a positive note: Hey kiwi's I just finished recording a radio commercial to be aired in NZ for Diabetes type 2 research, for Merke, Sharpe & Dohme... keep an ear out for it! Not sure when they are starting the campaign in NZ.. can't be too far away though. Cheers M.
